Smart Study Planner App – Project Overview
Project Goal
We will build a Smart Study Planner App that helps students organize their studies, track
assignments, manage exam dates, and improve productivity. The project is designed for two Class
11 students and can be used for STEM competitions, internships, scholarships, and university
applications.
Why We Are Building It
Students often struggle with time management, missed assignments, exam preparation, and
maintaining consistent study habits. Our app will provide a simple solution by helping students plan
and monitor their studies.
Team Roles
Student A (Technical Lead): Programming, database management, app development, testing.
Student B (Product & Research Lead): User research, surveys, design, documentation,
presentations, and feedback collection.
Project Stages
Stage 1: Survey 30–50 students to understand study challenges.
Stage 2: Decide on the most important features.
Stage 3: Design the app screens and user experience.
Stage 4: Develop the app and database.
Stage 5: Add smart features such as automatic timetable generation.
Stage 6: Test with students and collect feedback.
Stage 7: Launch and track impact.
Core Features
• Dashboard with today's tasks and upcoming exams.
• Subject management.
• Assignment and homework tracker.
• Exam countdown system.
• Study statistics and progress tracking.
• Automatic study timetable generation.
How We Create Impact
The goal is to get real students to use the app. We will invite classmates and friends, collect
feedback, improve the product, and measure usage. Impact can be demonstrated through user
numbers, completed tasks, and survey responses.
Portfolio Deliverables
• Working application
• GitHub repository
• Screenshots and design files
• Demo video
• Project report
• User feedback and impact metrics
Expected Outcome
By the end of the project, we will have a real product, practical experience in software development,
teamwork, research, problem-solving, and evidence of impact that can be included in future
applications and portfolios.
