CABLES
1 Whether the Physical condition of Cable is checked for any damage before Installation?
2 Are Cables received from other site checked for Insulation Resistance before putting them into
use?
3 Are all main Cables, taken either Overhead or through conduits for protection against
Damage?
4 Are electrical Cables routed overhead Crossing over access and Material movement areas?
5 Are welding & Electrical Cables overlapping and entangles?
6 Are Electrical Cables Trailing across the work area creating slip Trip and Fall Hazard?
7 Is any improper jointing of Cables wires prevailing at Site?
8 Are all Electrical cable terminations are Safely fastened to electrical leads using Lugs and
covered by glands wherever necessary to prevent Sparks and exposed Electrical contacts on
machinery/ Equipment with appropriate electrical Cable termination methods?
9 General Electrical safety awareness is provided to workers and project Staff?
10 Fire Rated Cables are employed for all power connections and installations?
11 Appropriate cables suitable for the accepted Load rating are Installed for all Installations?
DBs / SDBs
1 Is earth conductor continued up to DBs?
2 Whether DBs & extension boards have sufficient ingress and contact protection?
3 Is there any overloading of DBs/SDBs?
4 Are correct / proper fuses MCBs and ELCBs provided at main boards & sub- boards?
5 Is energised wiring in junction boxes, DB panels & similar places covered all times and are
having Double Insulation and routed through Conduits?
6 Are all DBs are with doors, lock & key?
7 Are all the DBs kept on dry and clean floor and at a safe distance from any Access area and
Material movement area?
8 Is rubber mat provided for all the Db's and emergency contact details displayed in all the main
boards & sub- boards?
9 Fire Extinguishers are Installed near all DBs/SDBs Installation?
10 Is Body Earthing provided to all DBs?
11 Are All DBs and SDBs installed with Industrial Grade Sockets for Power Connections?
12 All DBs are Tagged and Maintenance Registers are maintained and updated every Week?
13 Hazard communication Boards are Displayed al all DBs/SDBs?
14 Only Authorized technicians are allowed to carryout maintenance of DBs and SDBs.
RCBO/RCCB/MCB/ELCB
1 Are all Electrical connections Routed through ELCB/MCB / RCCB?
2 Is ELCB/RCCB sensitivity maintained at 30 mA?
3 Are the ELCB/RCCB numbered & tested periodically & test results recorded in a logbook
countersigned by competent person?
EARTHING
1 Whether the continuity & tightness of earth conductor are checked?
2 Mention the value of Earth Resistance.
