Dispatcher Planner Module: End User Guide

This guide explains how to use the Dispatcher Planner module to schedule and manage trips, moves,
and driver rest blocks on a timeline.

1. Introduction

The Dispatcher Planner module allows dispatchers to view and manage all trips and moves on a
timeline with date and time. Trips and moves are displayed with assigned truck drivers and crane
drivers. Dispatchers can also add rest blocks for drivers to ensure compliance with working hour
regulations.

2. Navigating to Dispatcher Planner

From the main menu, navigate to Activities and select Dispatcher Planner.

3. Dispatcher Planner Interface

The Dispatcher Planner interface contains the following sections:

Timeline View - Hourly time slots from early morning to late night
Driver List - All drivers with their assigned trucks
Zone Filter - Filter drivers by operational zone
Operator Types - Truck Operator, Crane Operator
Add Block - Add rest blocks for drivers

4. Zone and Operator Filter

Use the Zone dropdown to filter drivers by operational zone. Use Operator filter to select Truck
Operator or Crane Operator.

5. Timeline View

The timeline displays time slots in hourly increments. Each driver has a row showing their scheduled
trips, moves, and rest blocks.

Time Headers - 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM next day

Driver Rows - Each driver has a dedicated row
Trip Blocks - Color-coded blocks showing trip duration
Move Blocks - Individual move assignments with details

6. Trip and Move Display

Trips and moves appear as blocks on the timeline with the following information:

Trip Number - e.g., TRIP-82, TRIP-80

Time Range - Start time to end time (e.g., 11:12 AM - 02:12 PM)

Customer - Customer name (e.g., test188)

Shipment Number - Unique shipment identifier
Move Type - FCL In, FCL Out, MT In, MT Out
Container - Container number and size (if applicable)

7. Move Details View

Clicking on a move block opens the Move Details view with complete information:

Move Information:

Load No - Load reference number

Customer - Customer name
Shipment No - Shipment identifier
Carrier Reference No - Carrier reference
DP Reference - DP reference number
Container No - Container number and size
Move Type - FCL In, FCL Out, MT In, MT Out
Start Date - Scheduled start date and time
End Date - Scheduled end date and time
Crane Operator - Assigned crane operator
Trailer - Assigned trailer number
Type of Loading - Live Loading, etc.
Move Status - New, In Progress, Completed
Appointment Number - Terminal appointment number
Terminal - Terminal name
Seal No - Container seal number
Load Stage - Start, In Transit, etc.

8. Adding Rest Block for Driver

To add a rest block for a driver:

1. Click the Add Block button

2. Select the Driver from the dropdown
3. Select From Date and Time
4. Select To Date and Time
5. Select Activity type (Rest, Break, etc.)
6. Click Save

📋 Rest Block Rules:

• Rest blocks appear as gray blocks on the driver's timeline

• Drivers cannot be assigned trips during rest blocks
• Rest blocks help track driver compliance with working hour regulations
• Rest blocks can be edited or deleted if needed

9. Move Type Display Rules

Moves are displayed on the timeline based on their move type:

FCL In - Full Container Load Inbound

MT In - Empty Container Inbound
FCL Out - Full Container Load Outbound

MT Out - Empty Container Outbound

Note: Each move shows its move type on the timeline block for easy identification.

10. Open Tasks Overview

The move details view also shows open tasks that need to be completed for the move.

Open Task X tasks to complete - Shows number of pending tasks

Tasks may include documentation, approvals, or inspections

11. Searching and Filtering

Use the search bar to find specific trips, moves, or drivers by name, date, or shipment number.

12. Date Navigation

Use the date picker to navigate between different days. The timeline updates to show scheduled trips
and moves for the selected date.

14. Assignment Process

1. Navigate to Dispatcher Planner from Activities menu

2. Select the desired Date to view schedule
3. Use Zone filter to focus on specific operational area
4. Review available Trips and Moves in the Move List or Trip List
5. Drag and drop trips/moves to driver rows on the timeline
6. Adjust time slots by dragging block edges
7. Add Rest Blocks for drivers as needed
8. Click on any move to view Move Details and Open Tasks
