Comments: the lesson aim was not set measurably. Some activities went with
every step carefully without clear time management, like one exercise which
students have to do in appropriate time but they did not. Anyway, the activities
were suitable for students’ age and level.

Comments: To ensure students were able to take in the language, I started off by
showing the pictures which had conveyed the meaning of the target language.
Then I prepared the important part in the lesson like usage and example that
helped me explain grammar clearly.
3. How effective were you at giving instructions & concept checking? S+ S NI U NA
Comments: In terms of giving instruction, should be clear, short and simple to
match the students’ level. The students must pay attentions on their lesson and
are able to finish on time. Moreover, they need to finish on time and do it
correctly.
4. How effective were you at managing your class? S+ S NI U NA
Comments: First, time management wasn’t an issue as students manage to finish
all the activities with clear understanding of the target language. Second,
classroom management was good as students didn’t cause any problems or
disruptions which required teacher’s full attention to resolve it or to make
unnecessary changes to the lesson plan. Lastly, students were arranged to work in
pairs and groups.
5. How effective were you at interacting with students? S+ S NI U NA
Comments: As rapport has been built, it was clear that students were willing to
participate and engage in any activities the teacher had set. There was no time
that students were reluctant to respond to questions.
6. How effective were you at using teaching materials or resources? S+ S NI U NA
Comments: I used PPT Slides in order to ensure all students from both platforms
were aware of what they were intended to do. Anyway, I should have quizzes for
them before the lesson starts. Besides, I used Google Docs at the end of lesson as
homework. It helps me check answers and give feedback to the whole class.
7. How effective were you at achieving your aims? S+ S NI U NA
Comments: The aim was sufficiently achieved as students were able to produce
the target language through pair work and group discussions.
Reflections
8. What were your positive outcomes of this lesson?
Comments: I noticed that most of the students were engaged and respond because of the teacher’s enthusiasm and
encouragement in the class. The way the teacher delivered is simple and easy for students to learn. All of these would
lead to meaningful learning environment.
9. What are the main areas you would like to improve based on your reflections?
Comments: It was when I assigned students to work on the filling gap with was/were. I should have informed them to
focus on the instruction of the exercise. If I could be aware of this, I could get students to work on tasks perfectly.
10. If you had a chance to teach this lesson again to the same group of students, what would you do differently?
Comments: if I had a chance to teach this lesson again, I would get myself focused more on timing and sequencing of
the lesson as these actually affected overall performance of the students’ productivity of the language. I would have
set clearer time for each activity which I had to alert students and monitored them from stage to stage during the
class.
