NARRATIVES
 Our project is a gift-giving and feeding program in Sitio Maislap. For me, it was
an enjoyable moment in my life. Although there were struggles and challenges, I still
enjoyed involving myself in this outreach program. For today, I will be sharing some
experiences that I've been through in our program's culminating activity. Firstly, I was so
excited when our adviser told us that we would be implementing a program in our
community. Since then, I have been very dedicated and passionate when it comes to
this kind of activity. I firstly suggest my opinion and idea about this. I was near the Aeat
Community, which is our beneficiary. And I suggest to my classmate that we implement
our activity there. It was a long conversation. We made a vote and opened the table for
suggestions, but finally, the majority is in favor of the Aeta community. We are divided
into three groups in our section. And my group decided to implement a feeding program
for the children. Maybe it was very unusual, but I want to make it meaningful. So, after
we've done that, we proceed to planning for our program, such as writing proposal
letters, canvassing for materials, asking for donations for our financial needs, and
anything else. After we successfully did all of that, we proceeded to an implementation,
of course. To be honest, during that, I was very exhausted because I am the one who
was assigned to cook the food and also because I am the coordinator. That's why I
have a lot of responsibilities, and it was just like I wanted to rest because it was very
frustrating, but I am very grateful for the help and support of our HOA president and also
my classmates. Without their contribution, maybe our project will not be successful, but
we are united and very supportive of each other, which is why, as a result, it was very
successful. There were a lot of hindrances and struggles, like financial. Also, some of
our classmates are not cooperating, but we pursued our goals, especially me, and I
have only one thing on my mind that motivated me: 'Do your best. That's why I did my
best as long as I could. We prepared a program and gifts for the children to make them
feel loved and cared for and to give happiness to them, and it was a blessing to be part
of giving light to someone who was in the darkness, and I am very happy with that even
if I was very tired and exhausted. Lastly, I am very inspired by the Aeta children; despite
their situation, they still wear their smiles and show us their positive energy.
 PART 2: HIGHLIGHTS

Key Findings
Being a part of the indigenous group was very challenging, maybe just because
they are prone to discrimination and unfair treatment. Based on my experience in the
outreach program that we did, I've learned that equality is not based on physical
appearance or what tribes you are involved with; equality is required to be maintained
by everyone. It is based on how we treat others and how we express our compassion
for them. Also, the importance of being kind to others, especially to the needy, I know
that we are not that rich, but we can be a blessing to others with just a simple act. The
small efforts that we can make will have a big impact on others.

As part of this outreach program, I've encountered many challenges and

hindrances during the preparation up to the implementation of our activity, such as lack
of financial resources, running out of time for preparation, and other members that were
not cooperating in the activity. But I thank God that we overcame all of those things.
Despite being frustrated and exhausted, we chose to pursue our goals, and we reached
them.

Perseverance is one of the keys to success in different aspects of life, not only in
our project program. Because of this experience, I learned to have patience no matter
what. Even though I was very tired, I was discouraged from continuing. But because of
my perseverance, it helps me keep going. Secondly, compassion; without this word,
maybe our activity will not be successful. Because it changed my thinking about our
program, we are not conducting this program because it is required but because of
compassion. How important is it to express our compassion to others? Lastly, building
relationships—without unity, maybe our project would have failed. Although we have
different personalities, maybe it was one of the challenges that hindered our goal, but
we overcame it; we just need to unite to be involved with others. I have learned a lot
from this experience, but to summarize it, it was a very memorable and blessed
experience for me.

Some of the impacts that I saw as a result of our activity in our community were
that they actually recognized and discovered that, despite their flaws, they would have
someone who would care for them. Also, the programs helped to build relationships
among the people in the community.

Feedback from my aunt ,the one who helped me and gave

me advice before implementation: "Overall, your activity was
good; you just need to improve the quality of time for preparation
to be more prepared so you will not be rushed."

especially in the programs, and I am also thankful for the gifts that
I received."

Quote from a parent of benefactors: "The children enjoyed

themselves a lot; they also really liked the gifts."

Feedback from my sister: she witnessed my efforts during

the preparation of the activity: "Learn how to divide the task, be
responsible for the part, be mature when you are involved in a
program, and be presentable.".
 PART 3: PROJECT COMPLETION REPORT

Section A: Project Profile

Our project is a gift-giving and feeding program for
Aeta children in Maislap. It includes a hygiene kit and
school supplies. Our project's purpose is to help the
children in terms of their education and health. Although
our gifts are simple, they will make a difference to them.
We aimed that their community would open their eyes to
the needs of the children, and it was the opportunity to
go to school and maintain good health. Some of them are
not going to school, so we would like to enlighten them
and encourage them to enjoy going to school, and no
matter the challenges, it is not a hindrance to pursuing
their goals. We would also like to share happiness with
them through entertainment and games. I know that we
used to give light to their dark world, and I am so blessed
that I have been a part of this outreach program.

based on how much we spend on the program. Anyway,
we are divided into three groups, and each group has its
own budget.

As I was doing my portfolio, I reflected

on myself, like relapsing, going back in
time, and the moment when we
implemented the activity. I did
brainstorming to remember all the details
and happenings at that time. To be
honest, making a portfolio was not really
easy, but reflecting on my experience
helped me a lot to pursue my goals. It is
not easy to find information, edit
photographs and documentation, and
also write narratives, but this portfolio
reflects on how I was passionate about
doing or how putting effort into my work
will result in what I was doing. Thats why I
am very thankful that I successfully
finished this portfolio, and I hope that it
will result in good feedback from my
teacher and a good grade as well.
