IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Additional Quantum of Pension:
(i) As per OM No. PPG(P)140/2017/9 dated 12/07/2017, the basic pension of pensioners
(excluding family pensioners) is increased by 20% as and when he/she attains the age of 80
years.
2. Family Pension to be paid:
(i) In case of widow: From the date following the date of death of the deceased Govt. Servant till
remarriage or death of the recipient, whichever is earlier.
(ii) In case of son: From the date following the date of death of the deceased Govt. Servant till he
attains the age of 18 years.
(iii) Unmarried dependent daughter is entitled to family pension till death or marriage or earning
her livelihood, whichever is earlier, w.e.f. 09/08/2018 or thereafter as the case may be in terms
of Govt. Notification [Link](G)10/2013/49, dtd. 09/08/2018 subject to production of
certificate of non-marriage and non-employment in the prescribed format every year, duly
certified by C.O/B.D.O.
3. Dearness relief is payable with reference to the amount of pension before commutation.
For those where D.O.B incorporated as 2nd day of the month instead of 1st day of the month
4. i.e. only for the purpose of calculation of one month extension of service benefit as granted vide
[Link]. FEG.26/2012/29, dated 31/10/2012, the actual D.O.B remains unchanged.
In the event of death of the retiree before his/her in-person visit to the concerned Treasury
Office for obtaining the first pension, the same benefit will be provided to the spouse of the

retiree(as recorded in the PPO) provided a valid Death Certificate is presented at the time of
in -person visit of the spouse to the concerned Treasury Office.

THIRTY ONLY) p.m. for 10 years from the date following the date of death of the Pensioner or the
Pensioner of 67 years of age had the pensioner survived, whichever is earlier and there after Normal
family pension @Rs.14180/- (FOURTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY ONLY)
onwards.
