Visual arts are forms of
art that are primarily
visual in nature, created
to be appreciated through
sight. These include
traditional art forms and
modern, experimental
types.
Some of the contemporary
art techniques:

a. Collage is made by
pasting different materials
such as pictures and
pieces of paper or textile.
b. Digital arts
describe
technological arts
which include
digital photography
and digital painting.
c. Graffiti are either
serious, rude,
political, humorous
words or drawings
printed on public
walls or structures.
d. Print Making
is the creation of
images, typically
on paper, fabric
and plastic
materials.
e. Mixed media
are artworks made
by combining two
or more art
materials or
medium.
Performance arts are creative activities that
involve live presentations, combining visual
art with movement, sound, and storytelling.
Music – Contemporary
genres such as
electronic, experimental,
hip-hop, jazz, metal, pop,
rock, and roots music
express emotions and
social ideas.
Theater Art – Involves
acting, stage design,
and direction; includes
stage plays and street
performances.

Example: Street theater


addressing social issues.
Dance – Expressive
movement art,
including modern
forms like flash
mobs and street
dances.
Applied arts involve
the application of
aesthetic design
principles to
everyday functional
objects and media.
Film - Combines
visuals, audio, and
storytelling to create
cinematic works or
broadcast productions.
Architecture – Involves
designing buildings,
interiors, and products
that merge
functionality with
artistic expression.
Literary arts use written words
as a medium to express ideas,
emotions, and imagination,
often blending with digital and
visual elements in contemporary
times.
Examples: Digi-fiction,
illustrated novel, manga,
graphic novel, blog, poetry, etc.
