A: Have you ever watched a music contest on TV?
B: Yes, I have. I’ve watched Vietnam Idol recently. How about you?
A: Oh me too. I really like that contest.
B: Do you know when and where it was held?
A: Yes. It was held in Ho Chi Minh City last summer.
B: What do you like most about it?
A: I like the performances. Many contestants sang very well. But I still wonder who gave the
scores to them?
B: Well… the scores were given by famous judges, such as singers and music producers.
How about the participants? Everyone could sign up for the contest, right?
A: Not really. Participants must be young talents from different parts of Vietnam. They had
to sing different songs and perform on stage.
B: Oh, I see. Then they won the prizes by getting high scores from the judges and votes from
the audience.
A: By the way, do you know what the winner would receive?
B: As I remember, the winner received a trophy, prize money, and a chance to become a
professional singer.
A: That sounds really nice. Would you like to watch the contest again next year?
B: Of course. Let’s watch the next season together.
