-REPORT WRITING-

🔹 Format:
1.​ Heading/Title – Catchy, brief, and relevant.
2.​ Byline – By [Name] (don’t use “Mr./Ms.”, just your name).
3.​ Opening Paragraph (Introduction) – What, where, when, who → brief
background of the event/issue.
4.​ Body (Details in 2–3 paragraphs)
○​ Sequence of events/incidents in proper order.
○​ Facts, figures, names, dates, and places (if relevant).
○​ Quotes/statements from people (optional).
○​ Impact, importance, or purpose.
5.​ Conclusion – Closing remarks, outcome, or future implications.

🔹 Example:
INTER-SCHOOL SCIENCE EXHIBITION

An inter-school science exhibition was organised by ABC Public School on


14th September 2025 in the school auditorium. The exhibition was inaugurated
by the District Education Officer, Mr. Arjun Mehta.

More than twenty schools participated in the event. Innovative working models
on robotics, renewable energy, and space exploration were displayed. The
students explained their projects with great enthusiasm and confidence.
The highlight of the exhibition was a solar-powered water purifier designed
by the students of XYZ School.

The event received huge appreciation from the visitors and parents. The chief
guest praised the creativity of the students and encouraged them to continue
exploring science for the betterment of society. The exhibition concluded with
the prize distribution ceremony.
