⭐ Scene 1 — The Summoning
NARRATOR: In an age where hearts grow cold, and people love treasure more than truth,
the Lord of Heaven looks upon the world. He sees mankind forgetting the path of goodness,
and so He calls His messenger… Death.
(Death enters solemnly.)
DEATH: Everyman. You walk this earth unaware, but your time has come. The Lord
commands you to begin your final journey.
(Everyman enters, cheerful at first.)
EVERYMAN: Greetings, stranger— Ah! Your face is pale as night. Who are you?
DEATH: I am Death, unchanging, unavoidable. And you, Everyman, must bring a true
account of your life. Your deeds shall speak for you.
EVERYMAN (frightened): So soon? I am unready! Grant me time—just a little time.
DEATH: Not one hour. But I shall allow you one companion… if any will dare go with you.
(Death fades back, watching.)
⭐ Scene 2 — Fellowship Refuses
(Fellowship enters happily.)
FELLOWSHIP: Everyman! Friend of my heart! Your face is troubled—tell me, and I will
stand by you.
EVERYMAN: Fellowship… I must go on a journey from which none return. Will you walk with
me?
FELLOWSHIP (steps back): A journey with Death? No, no— I love you for laughter and
wine, not for danger. Ask me to fight, to feast, to travel—but not to follow you into the grave.
EVERYMAN: But you vowed to never leave me!
FELLOWSHIP: I vowed much. But this… this is beyond mortal loyalty. Forgive me, friend.
(Fellowship exits, ashamed.)
⭐ Scene 3 — Kindred Cannot Go
(Kindred enters quietly.)
KINDRED: Cousin, I heard your cry. I will not abandon you—tell me what burdens you.
EVERYMAN: Kindred, blood of my blood… Walk with me into eternity.
KINDRED: I would carry you from danger, shelter you in storms… But Death’s path is one I
cannot tread. My feet turn to stone at the thought.
EVERYMAN: Even you? Is there no heart that stays true?
KINDRED: My love is strong… But my courage fails.
(Kindred leaves sorrowfully.)
⭐ Scene 4 — Goods Reveals the Truth
(Goods enters proudly, glittering with symbolic wealth.)
EVERYMAN: Ah! Goods—my treasures. Surely you will comfort me now.
GOODS: Everyman, you gathered me with eager hands. You believed I made you mighty.
EVERYMAN: Come with me, then. Stand beside me before my Maker.
GOODS (laughs coldly): I? I drag men away from Heaven, not toward it. If I journey with
you, I will destroy you.
EVERYMAN: Then all these years… all my striving…
GOODS: You served me, when you should have served kindness. Seek not my help now.
(Goods leaves. Everyman falls to his knees.)
⭐ Scene 5 — Good Deeds is Weak
(Good Deeds enters crawling, frail.)
EVERYMAN: Good Deeds! You look so broken…
GOOD DEEDS: Brother… I am weak because you rarely called for me. But I alone can go
with you—if I gain strength.
EVERYMAN: How do I restore you?
(Knowledge enters with calm authority.)
KNOWLEDGE: Everyman, rise. I am Knowledge—sister to Good Deeds. Walk with me to
examine your life truthfully. Through understanding, Good Deeds will stand again.
EVERYMAN: Lead me. I will face what must be faced.
(They walk slowly together.)
⭐ Scene 5 — Good Deeds & Knowledge
(Same as before up until Good Deeds becomes strong)
GOOD DEEDS:
Now, Everyman… before we continue your path, you must call upon the companions you
believe you can rely on. Let them stand before you.
EVERYMAN:
Yes… let the powers I once trusted come forth!
⭐ Scene 6 — Restoration
(Good Deeds rises taller.)
GOOD DEEDS: Your heart grows honest. Your understanding deepens. Now I am strong.
EVERYMAN: Then you will come with me?
GOOD DEEDS: Until the very end.
(Enter Beauty, Strength, Discretion, Five Wits — noble, proud, heroic.)
BEAUTY:
Everyman, behold my shining face!
I have always helped you win admiration.
Surely I will go with you.
EVERYMAN (hopeful):
Then come! You will give me courage.
STRENGTH:
And I, Strength, will guard your steps!
My arms are firm, my power great.
I will not fail you—so long as breath fills your chest.
EVERYMAN:
Good! Strength beside me, what could I fear?
DISCRETION:
I, Discretion, offer careful judgment.
I will choose wisely for you in moments of danger.
FIVE WITS:
And I, the Five Wits — sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell.
I have guided your understanding of the world.
With us, you are whole.
EVERYMAN:
At last… companions who will stay.
GOOD DEEDS (sadly):
Everyman… listen closely.
(The Parts of the Body begin to weaken, holding their heads, backs, knees.)
BEAUTY:
My glow… it dims.
I feel myself fading.
STRENGTH:
My muscles weaken…
I cannot lift even my own arms…
DISCRETION:
My thoughts scatter…
I cannot decide what is safe anymore…
FIVE WITS:
My senses blur—
everything becomes distant.
EVERYMAN (frantic):
Wait! You said you would walk with me!
BEAUTY:
I shine only in youth…
STRENGTH:
I leave with age…
DISCRETION:
I fail under fear…
FIVE WITS:
And I fade before the grave.
(They all step backward, leaving Everyman.)
EVERYMAN:
Then only Good Deeds stands beside me?
GOOD DEEDS:
Yes. Only kindness endures.
These noble gifts cannot cross the final threshold.
⭐ Scene 7 — The Forsaking
NARRATOR: Beauty comes, but fades. Strength boasts, then trembles. Discretion falters.
The Five Wits—your senses—grow dim.
(Each steps forward and then withdraws as the Narrator names them.)
EVERYMAN: Is there no companion left but one?
GOOD DEEDS: Only I remain. Only the kindness you gave may walk with you.
⭐ Scene 8 — Final Words
NARRATOR: And so Everyman learned the deepest truth: Riches betray, friends depart,
flesh weakens— but goodness endures beyond the grave.
EVERYMAN: May all who hear this remember: Let your deeds shine before the final call.
ALL: Only good deeds follow us in the end.

⭐ Scene 1 — The Notification of Doom
NARRATOR: Everyman was having a GREAT day. Music playing, snacks ready, zero
responsibilities— Or so he thought.
(Everyman scrolls on a phone.)
EVERYMAN: Ah yes… memes… cat videos… life is perfect.
(DING! Death enters holding a giant “URGENT MESSAGE” sign.)
DEATH: Everyman! Time’s up!
EVERYMAN: Time’s up for what? My phone battery? My free trial? My sanity?
DEATH: …your LIFE.
EVERYMAN: OH. That’s worse.
DEATH: Prepare for your final journey. Bring someone with you if you can.
EVERYMAN: Someone? No problem! I have like 700 followers.
⭐ Scene 2 — Fellowship Freaks Out
(Fellowship enters wearing earbuds.)
FELLOWSHIP: Bro! You texted “HELP ME” in all caps. What’s up?
EVERYMAN: Want to come with me on a… trip?
FELLOWSHIP: Trip? Road trip? Movie trip? Snack trip?
EVERYMAN: Death trip.
FELLOWSHIP: I’m sorry— DEATH trip?! No. Nope. Negative. I don’t do “eternal.” I barely do
“Monday.”
(Sprints away.)
⭐ Scene 3 — Kindred Backs Out Badly
(Kindred jogs in.)
KINDRED: Cousin! I heard drama. I LOVE drama. Spill.
EVERYMAN: Come with me to meet Death.
KINDRED: … I suddenly remembered I have a dentist appointment. Forever. Goodbye!
(Runs off waving.)
⭐ Scene 4 — Goods the Material Girl
(Goods enters dragging bags.)
EVERYMAN: Goods! My beautiful stuff! Come with me!
GOODS: Honey, I don’t WALK. I sit on shelves and look fabulous.
EVERYMAN: You can’t even TRY?
GOODS: Nope. Also, I’m not allowed past security. Heaven has a “no baggage” policy.
(Flounces away.)
⭐ Scene 5 — Good Deeds Needs a Recharge
(Good Deeds enters extremely weak.)
GOOD DEEDS: Hiiii… I’m… like… on 2%.
EVERYMAN: What happened to you?!
GOOD DEEDS: You barely ever “used” me. I’m like an app you downloaded but never
opened.
(Knowledge enters like a teacher with a clipboard.)
KNOWLEDGE: Alright, Everyman. Time for reflection. Real reflection. Not the selfie kind.
EVERYMAN: Okay… teach me.
(Everyman “reflects.” Good Deeds powers up with sound effects.)
GOOD DEEDS: YES! Back to 100%! Let’s do this. But, before we leave, call the “squad” you
think will help you in your old age.
EVERYMAN:
My squad? Sure — they always got my back!
⭐ Scene 6 — Parts of the Body (Modern & Funny)
(Music plays. Enter Beauty posing for selfies, Strength flexing, Discretion with a clipboard,
Five Wits wearing headphones.)
Beauty enters:
BEAUTY:
Heyyy Everyman!
Your favorite filter come to life!
Of course I’ll go with you. I make you look AMAZING.
EVERYMAN:
Great! Come with—
BEAUTY (interrupts):
Hold on, this lighting is terrible.
Can we move the journey… over there?
(Beauty adjusts imaginary ring light.)
Strength enters:
STRENGTH:
BRO. BRO. BRO.
I can carry you, your backpack, AND your problems.
Let's go.
EVERYMAN:
Finally! Someone reliable!
Discretion enters:
DISCRETION:
Okay, I made a list.
Column A: Good ideas.
Column B: TERRIBLE ideas.
Guess which column “following Death” goes in?
Five Wits enters:
FIVE WITS:
Sight? A little blurry.
Hearing? Selective.
Taste? Excellent.
Smell? Depends.
Touch? Allergic to danger.
EVERYMAN:
You guys are NOT inspiring confidence.
The fading begins (comedy style):
BEAUTY:
Ugh… is that a wrinkle?!
Nope. I’m out.
(Beauty runs off screaming.)
STRENGTH:
Whoa whoa whoa… why are my arms noodles now?!
Dude, my muscles just unsubscribed.
(Strength collapses in slow motion.)
DISCRETION:
Okay, new plan—
NO PLAN. I can’t think anymore. My brain’s buffering.
(Discretion freezes like a glitch.)
FIVE WITS:
Is anyone else hearing buzzing or is that just me?
Wait…
I can’t see.
Yep. I’m done. BYEEEEE.
(Runs blindly into a wall.)
EVERYMAN:
So none of you will come?
GOOD DEEDS:
Nope. Only I remain.
They all ditch you faster than free Wi-Fi drops.
EVERYMAN:
Then kindness really is the only thing that lasts…
GOOD DEEDS:
Facts.
⭐ Scene 7 — Final Comic Ending
EVERYMAN:
I get it now…
Be kind.
Don’t rely on beauty, muscles, or your senses.
They all disappear like my phone battery.
ALL:
Choose kindness!
It has the BEST longevity.
EVERYMAN: And Hydrate.
