Writing topic: Countries should not replace their traditional culture with
modern culture . To what extent do you agree with this statement?
Countries in the world are famous for their culture and traditions as well as their
historic monuments and particular business. In my opinion, traditional culture is
very important because/so they should not be replaced by modern culture.
First of all/additionally, I believe that traditional culture holds the values of a
country. These values have become the national identity for years. They define
a society and bond all the members together as a related community. Such
as/For example, on traditional holidays, people celebrate in the same way and
wear the same cultural costumes. This makes them feel belonged so they may
try to be better citizens. By contrast, modern practices, such as/for example
traveling around the world or staying at home watching movies on these
occasions, will only make people feel distant and isolated from their community
Besides/And, traditional culture is important in creating balance and peace
between humans, the environment, and life. For instance/As a result, in some
religious countries like Thailand, going to pagodas is very common. People pray
and wish good luck for themselves and people around them as well as good
crops. This helps people become more aware of the environment around them
and live peacefully with each other
To conclude, I strongly believe that traditional culture should be preserved
because/so it helps shape our attitudes towards life and people around them.
Countries should find a way for traditional culture to exist alongside modern
culture.
