English Mini Project-Grade 4

Project Overview
In this creative project, students will explore their imagination by choosing an interesting picture, such as a fantasy scene, nature view, or mystery image.
They will carefully observe the picture and think deeply about the characters, setting, and events shown.
Instead of writing one full story, students will organize their ideas into a mini booklet. Each page will focus on a different part of their thinking:
• Page 1: Characters
• Page 2: Setting
• Page 3: Events/Story
• Page 4: Illustrations or Fun Facts
Students will enhance their booklet with drawings, captions, and colorful decorations to make it engaging and meaningful. This project helps students develop
creativity, imagination, and organization skills, while also improving their ability to express ideas clearly in a structured way.

 2. Draft Your Content (The 4 Pages)

• Page 1 (Characters): Don't just list names.

Describe their personality. Is the character brave?
Shy? Why are they in this picture?
• Page 2 (Setting): Use "sensory words." What does
the air smell like? Is it cold or warm? This shows a
"clear understanding" of the concept.
• Page 3 (Events): This is where you answer the
Challenging Question. Describe the moment the
"secret" is found and how the characters react.
• Page 4 (Fun Facts): Add "Creative Products" like
a small map of the area or a "Wanted" poster for a
character to show extra effort.

3. Assemble the Booklet

• Fold a piece of paper in half to create four surfaces

(front, inside-left, inside-right, back).
• Use captions for your drawings to explain what is
happening.
• Check your spelling and grammar; "High
Performing" work has minimal or no errors
