First group
Check out the cases on [Link]. Seek out decided Kenyan land and property cases and
identify 5 interesting cases on land ownership. Decided cases will typically have the heading
“judgement”
For each case, explain to the class:
a) brief facts of the case
b) the parties to the case
c) the ownership issue before the court
d) what the court decided.

Second group
Check out the cases on [Link]. Seek out decided Kenyan land and property cases and
identify 5 interesting cases on land proprietory rights. Decided cases will typically have the
heading “judgement”
For each case, explain to the class:
e) brief facts of the case
f) the parties to the case
g) the land proprietory issue before the court
h) what the court decided.

All members of the group MUST present either as moderator or panellists. Moderator should recap issues
discussed by group members and guide the panel conversation. Moderator must also keep time and
coordinate questions and comments from the class.

Total time for conference session (including Q&A) is 30-45 mins
