Statement of Purpose – Amazon ML Summer
School 2026
My interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is not a recent discovery—it has been the
foundation of my academic journey. While many students choose their field based on trends or
placements, I was drawn to AI/ML because of a genuine curiosity about how machines can learn,
adapt, and make intelligent decisions. This fascination led me to pursue a Diploma in Artificial
Intelligence and Machine Learning, where I graduated with 84%. The experience not only
strengthened my technical foundation but also confirmed that I wanted to build my career in this
field. When it came time to pursue higher education, I did not have to think twice. Driven by the
same passion, I chose [Link] in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. What began as curiosity
gradually evolved into a deeper desire to understand the mathematics, algorithms, and engineering
principles that power modern AI systems. Every new concept I learned—from machine learning
models to neural networks—made me even more excited about the possibilities of this field.
Throughout my academic journey, I have actively explored AI and ML beyond the classroom. I have
studied statistics, machine learning fundamentals, deep learning, optimization techniques, and
data-driven problem solving. Alongside my coursework, I have worked on projects that allowed me
to apply these concepts in practice. These experiences taught me that building an effective AI
solution is not just about training a model—it requires understanding data, identifying patterns,
making informed decisions, and continuously improving the system. In recent years, my interest
has expanded toward advanced topics such as Deep Learning and Agentic AI. The idea of creating
systems that can reason, learn, and act autonomously fascinates me. At the same time, I recognize
that there is still a significant gap between academic understanding and industry-level machine
learning. I want to deepen my knowledge of modern ML techniques, large-scale model
development, representation learning, and the challenges involved in deploying reliable AI systems
in real-world environments. Amazon ML Summer School represents an opportunity to learn from
some of the brightest minds in machine learning. Beyond technical knowledge, I am excited about
interacting with a community of highly motivated learners who share the same enthusiasm for AI. I
believe that exposure to industry experts, advanced concepts, and real-world perspectives will help
me accelerate my growth as a machine learning practitioner. I believe I am a strong fit for MLSS
because my commitment to AI has been consistent and deliberate. From choosing AI/ML during my
diploma, to pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in my [Link], to continuously learning
and building projects, every step of my journey has been guided by the same curiosity and
determination. I am eager to learn, willing to put in the effort required to master complex concepts,
and excited about contributing to a community that is shaping the future of intelligent systems.
Through MLSS, I hope to strengthen my foundations, broaden my perspective, and take a
meaningful step toward my long-term goal of building impactful AI solutions that solve real-world
problems.
