About -Human Touch Foundation
While our country steadfastly regrows to its pre-colonial
economic and social stature, many Indians—unfairly so—
remain underprivileged. Unfair societal barriers seriously
limit our society's holistic growth by overlooking an
individual's merit; merit that could've otherwise been used for
the development of our country. At the Human Touch
Foundation, we have identified three major barriers and
relentlessly work towards resolving them. The three major
barriers that we
believe are prevalent in India are inequality of work
opportunity due to unfair prejudice, sexual harassment of
women in the workplace, and the discounting of
environmental sustainability for short-term economic gain.
To promote equality of opportunity, and deter and punish
instances of sexual harassment, we have introduced our POSH
Act initiative. The initiative, which has been a tremendous
success, helps Indian firms create a healthier work
environment by aiding them with the compliance of the POSH
Law and
providing them with unbiased third-party counselling,
inquiries & conciliations. In addition to this, to promote
environmental sustainability, our organization has planted
more than 10,000 plants at various schools, offices, public
places, and local jails.
As the president of the Human Touch Foundation, on behalf
of our family, I pledge to pursue and promote the values that
we stand for.
OBJECTIVES OF NGO
● Helping those in need: Providing direct support like
● food, shelter, medical care, or disaster relief to vulnerable
communities.
● Fighting for fairness: Advocating for human rights,
equality, and social justice for everyone, especially
marginalized groups.
● Improving lives through education: Working to ensure
everyone has access to quality education and opportunities
to learn new skills.
● Protecting our planet: Taking action to conserve the
environment, promote sustainable practices, and raise
awareness about climate change.
● Building stronger communities: Empowering local
people, helping them develop their own solutions, and
fostering community spirit.
● Raising awareness: Informing the public about important
social or environmental issues and encouraging people to
get involved.
HUMAN TOUCH FOUNDATION
What they do?
The Human Touch Foundation is a leading non-
governmental organization in India, actively involved in
a broad range of crucial areas. Our work encompasses
civic issues, education and literacy, health and family
welfare, human rights, legal awareness and aid, nutrition,
rural development and poverty alleviation, vocational
training, women's development and empowerment, and
youth affairs. We also actively support significant
national initiatives like Beti Bachao
Beti Padhao. Our goal is to drive positive change and
uplift communities across these diverse sectors.
What I have done?
During our recent 10-day visit to the Human Touch
Foundation here in Greater Noida, our team successfully
carried out a variety of impactful activities. We distributed
food, provided teaching and educational sessions for
children, and conducted important sessions on health and
hygiene. We also raised awareness about voting and
census participation. These hands-on efforts allowed us to
directly contribute to the communities the NGO serves.
Chapter- 1
Planting Tree- Trees for Brighter Tomorrow
As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability,
echoing the Human Touch Foundation's mission here in
Greater Noida, we actively carry out tree and plant plantation
drives.
Our process is straightforward: we source healthy young
plants from local nurseries, focusing on species that thrive in
our local environment. Next, we prepare the planting sites,
whether in backyard gardens or public parks, by loosening the
soil and ensuring good drainage.
We then carefully plant each sapling, making sure its roots are
spread out, and gently backfill the soil. Every new plant
receives an initial watering to help it settle. These efforts,
right here in Greater Noida, are vital for increasing our green
spaces, improving air quality, and supporting local
ecosystems—all core goals of the Human Touch Foundation.
Chapter- 2
Spreading Awareness- Kick Tobacco, Hug Trees!
In line with the Human Touch Foundation's work in Greater Noida,
we undertook a vital task: spreading awareness about "Say No to
Smoking" and "Save Environment."
For the "Say No to Smoking" campaign, we held interactive sessions
and workshops in local communities and schools. We used simple
language and visuals to explain the dangers of Smoking, emphasizing
resisting peer pressure and choosing healthy lifestyles. We also
handed out informational pamphlets with resources.
For the "Save Environment" initiative, we organized community
clean-up drives in parks and public spaces, involving residents
directly. We also conducted awareness sessions on practical steps like
reducing plastic, conserving water, and proper recycling. We
encouraged residents to plant saplings in their gardens and contributed
to public park plantings.
Through these combined efforts, we aimed to empower our
community with knowledge, encouraging them to make responsible
choices for both their personal well-being and the health of our planet.
Chapter- 3
Water Awareness for Animals
The aim of this activity was to address the rising summer temperatures and
the lack of water sources for stray animals and birds in urban areas. With
heatwaves increasingly affecting both humans and animals, the initiative
focused on:
● Creating safe water points in high-heat zones.
● Spreading awareness about animal dehydration and summer care.
● Encouraging residents and shopkeepers to refill and maintain water
bowls regularly.
● Promoting empathy and responsibility toward urban wildlife and stray
animals.
Description of Work Done
As a volunteer for Human Touch Foundation, I executed a street-level
campaign in Sector Beta I to help alleviate water scarcity for animals during
the intense summer heat. The day’s efforts included:
● Installing 15 water bowls across shaded locations in markets, parks, and
near residential gates.
● Used terracotta and plastic containers that are easy to clean, heat-
resistant, and animal-friendly.
● Refilled bowls with clean drinking water, with help from local
shopkeepers.
● Affixed signs near each bowl that read: “Summer is Hard – Share a Sip”
and “Water Saves Lives”.
● Conducted door-to-door conversations with small business owners,
residents, and children to explain the impact of dehydration on birds,
dogs, and cows.
● Partnered with 2 local general stores that agreed to keep water containers
filled daily.

Chapter – 4
Distributing water bottles to poor people
Participated in a sanitation and awareness drive across 2 public parks. Cleared
over 20 kg of plastic and organic waste with proper waste segregation.
Interacted with locals on maintaining hygiene and sustainability in public
spaces.
The primary aim of the cleaning drive was to promote public hygiene, civic
engagement, and encouraging behavioral change towards maintaining
cleanliness in public spaces and reducing littering, especially plastic waste, in
community parks.
As part of the initiative led by the Human Touch Foundation, I, along with
fellow volunteers, undertook a thorough cleaning of two public parks in Sector
50, Greater Noida. The task included:
● Segregating waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable.
● Using gloves, eco-bags, brooms, and dustpans to clean walkways,
benches, and children's play areas.
● Removing over 20 kg of waste, including food wrappers, plastic bottles,
leaves, and glass pieces.
● Installing temporary dustbins in key zones of the park to reduce
immediate littering.
● Interacting with residents to educate them about waste disposal and
cleanliness habits.
● Distributing awareness pamphlets on sustainable living and “Clean
India” principles.
Chapter- 5
Feeding Street Dog- Street Dog Feeding Initiative
In our efforts to show compassion for all living beings in
Greater Noida, we regularly undertake the task of feeding
street dogs. These animals often struggle to find food, making
our intervention vital for their well-being.
Our process is simple: we prepare and distribute nutritious
food to various groups of street dogs in different areas of
Greater Noida. We ensure the food is suitable for their health
and provided safely. We also try to offer water, especially
during hot weather.
This consistent act of kindness helps to alleviate their hunger
and improve their overall health. By providing regular meals,
we contribute to their comfort and survival, reflecting the
Human Touch Foundation's commitment to empathy and care
for all members of our community.
Chapter – 6
Online Tasks – Social Media Marketing
The objective of this virtual engagement was to support Human Touch
Foundation’s digital outreach efforts by designing and managing awareness-
oriented content on social media platforms. This initiative was crucial in:
● Expanding the NGO’s reach and visibility among younger digital
audiences.
● Promoting upcoming campaigns and events through visually engaging
content.
● Building consistent branding and message clarity across digital
channels.
● Encouraging digital volunteers to actively participate in awareness
creation.
Chapter – 7
Online Tasks – PPT on gender sensitization in the
workplace
The goal of this task was to research and create a comprehensive digital
presentation on gender sensitization in the workplace, addressing how
inclusivity, equity, and language shape professional spaces. The key objectives
included:
● Raising awareness on gender equity and unconscious bias.
● Encouraging the use of inclusive language and respectful behavior in
professional settings.
● Supporting HTF’s outreach and training efforts by developing a reusable
visual learning resource.
● Promoting the role of gender sensitization in building safe, productive,
and empathetic workspaces.
Description of Work Done
In collaboration with peers, I contributed to the preparation of a professional
presentation titled “Fostering an Inclusive Workplace: A Guide to Gender
Sensitization.” The final presentation consisted of visually engaging and
content-rich slides, designed using Canva and PowerPoint. The presentation
covered:
● Understanding Gender Sensitization: Definitions, empathy, equity,
perception, and awareness.
● Workplace Benefits: Enhanced collaboration, innovation, productivity,
and company reputation.
● Unconscious Bias: Self-reflection, training, structured evaluation, and
diversity in hiring.
● Challenging Stereotypes: Redefining gender roles, leadership traits, and
communication norms.
● Inclusive Language: Using gender-neutral terms and eliminating
stereotypical phrases.
● Work-Life Balance for All: Equal parental leave, caregiver support, and
fair evaluation metrics.
● Safe Work Environment: Clear anti-harassment policies, training, and
confidential reporting channels.
● Next Steps: Key takeaways and actions for sustaining inclusivity.
The PPT was submitted digitally and reviewed by HTF mentors for future
integration into their awareness campaigns and corporate training modules.
Chapter- 8
Art for Impact: Handmade Posters for Learning &
Change
As part of our efforts with the Human Touch Foundation in
Greater Noida, we created handmade posters for two key
purposes: spreading awareness and providing study material.
For awareness posters, we designed vibrant visuals with clear text on
topics like "Say No to Smoking" and "Save Water." These were
displayed in public places to inform and encourage
community action.
Simultaneously, we made educational posters for underprivileged
children. These covered basic subjects like the alphabet, numbers, and
hygiene, using simple language and illustrations to make learning
engaging. We distributed these directly to children or to local learning
centers.
This task allowed us to use simple, visual tools to both educate the
community and directly support children's learning.
Chapter- 9
Empowering Minds: Our Children's Education
Initiative
At the Human Touch Foundation in Greater Noida, a core part of our
mission is teaching underprivileged children. We see education as the
most powerful way to help them build better futures.
Our approach involves regular, interactive learning sessions that focus
on essential subjects like reading, writing, and basic math. We use
engaging methods, including storytelling and
visual aids, to make learning enjoyable and effective. Beyond
academics, we also teach crucial life skills such as hygiene and
positive values, aiming for their overall development. We strive to
create a supportive environment where every child feels encouraged
to learn. By providing consistent educational opportunities, we're not
just sharing knowledge; we're helping these children in Greater Noida
gain confidence and open
doors to brighter possibilities.
Chapter- 10
The Bird Bath Project
To support local wildlife in Greater Noida, we focused on
providing water for birds. Especially in warm weather,
birds struggle to find drinking water and places to bathe.
We placed shallow dishes and bird baths filled with fresh water in
parks, backyard gardens, and on balconies. We made sure to clean
and refill them daily to keep the water safe.
This simple, consistent action directly helped the local bird
population, offering essential hydration and a place to preen. It's a
small but significant way we contribute to the environment, aligning
with the Human Touch Foundation Mission.
Mission & Vision
To enhance the quality of life for all members of society,
especially women, youth, and children, by identifying and
addressing critical societal barriers such as inequality of work
opportunities, workplace sexual harassment, and
environmental degradation. We strive to provide consistently
available and accessible services, collaborate with
communities, and promote sustainable solutions for the
holistic betterment of the underprivileged.
A society in which all individuals, particularly women,
youth, and children, are empowered to live a life of equality,
dignity, and opportunity, and where social and
environmental fairness are paramount for collective well-
being and sustainable growth.
The Human Touch Foundation has made significant strides in
improving the lives of children in its project areas:
Overall Reach: We've positively impacted over 661,752
children across our various initiatives.
Education: A remarkable 80% of children aged 6-18 years in
our project areas are now actively attending school.
Nutrition: We've successfully prevented malnutrition in 86%
of children under 5 years old within our project areas.
Child Marriage Prevention: An impressive 99% of adolescent
girls aged 11-18 years in our project areas are protected from
child marriage.
Child Labor Prevention: We've ensured 94% of children aged
6-18 years in our project areas are protected from
child labor.
