Development of a School Fees Tracking and Management System
STAGE 1: PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
1.2 Problem Description
The finance department of a school handles hundreds of fee transactions
every term. When records are maintained manually, information may be
misplaced, calculations may be inaccurate, and generating reports can
take a significant amount of time.
Common problems include:
Loss of student payment records
Difficulty tracking outstanding balances
Slow report generation
Human errors in calculations
Delays in identifying fee defaulters
Difficulty accessing historical payment records
There is therefore a need to develop a computerized Fee Tracking and
Management System that will improve efficiency, accuracy, and
accessibility of fee records.
1.3 Statement of Intent
The aim of this project is to design and develop a computerized School
Fees Tracking and Management System that records fee payments,
calculates balances, stores student information, and generates financial
reports.

The system must:
