Walk-in-Interview
Applicants are invited for the post of Young Professional - II (YP-II) purely on contractual
basis in the Project coordination unit, ICAR-AICRP on Sorghum and Small millets, ICAR-
Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030 through Walk-in
interview on 23-06-2026 at 10.00 AM.
The eligible candidates are requested to attend the walk-in interview with their duly filled
biodata in the enclosed application format “Annexure -I” and “Annexure -II’ along with self-
attested photocopies of relevant documents.
Date and time of walk-in interview: 23-06-2026 at 10.00 AM
Note: Registration of candidature for interview will be allowed till 11.00 AM only. After
11.00 AM candidate will not be allowed to register for Walk-in-Interview.

Details of the positions:

candidate performance, project requirement and funding.
Qualification and Essential Qualifications:
Job description Master’s Degree in Agronomy/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/
Agri. Statistics with 4 years of bachelor’s degree + 2 years
master’s degree.
Desirable qualifications:
Knowledge of Sorghum and Small Millet crops
1-2 years’ work experience in various crop coordination
activities of ICAR-AICRPs
Knowledge of crop varietal testing guidelines and release
Knowledge of VIC & CVRC proposals
Working knowledge on quality seed production of millets
and handling SATHI portal for BSP implementation
Operational knowledge of statistical packages including
R for data analysis, data reports
Good knowledge of computer operations, Microsoft
office and networking.

Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Job Description:
Undertaking day-to-day operations of the project
coordination unit
Creation of trials and nurseries of millets, monitoring of
crop trials, data compilation of the field and laboratory
works, data analysis, preparation and updating various
AICRP databases
Making various AICRP reports, file management, e-
office operations
VIC/ CVRC proposals
AICRP budgeting, preparation of AICRP centers staff
salaries, allocation of contingencies, correspondence
with AICRP centers.
Monitoring on all aspects of quality seed production of
millets and allocation of Breeder seed to Breeder seed
producing centers and monitoring of Breeder Seed
Production through SATHI portal as per DAC and other
indents.
Assisting PC in conduct of annual group and other
meetings
Good oral and written communication skills in English
and Hindi, with an ability to communicate effectively
with multiple stake holders, willingness to travel
Digitalization of all AICRP reports
All other works as assigned by PC.

Terms and conditions:
1. The Candidate should attend the interview with duly filled-in application form (as
per the format-Annexure I and Annexure II, Enclosed). The fully filled in
application form is compulsory.
2. The above posts are purely temporary and on a contractual basis till the termination of the
project. The selected candidates shall not claim regular appointment/absorption in ICAR-
AICRP or funding agency at the end of the project.
3. All the relevant original testimonials (date of birth, degree certificate, experience
certificate, no objection certificates from their current employer, caste certificate etc.) are
to be shown at the time of interview for verification and a set of attested copies of all the
certificates will be required to be submitted by the candidates for verification and before
joining, if selected. If any candidate is found to have submitted false information/claims
at any stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected, or the appointment will be
terminated.
4. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be allowed to attend the
interview.
5. The minimum age under Young professional category is 21 and maximum is 45 as on the
date of the interview with relaxation as per GOI rules in case of SC/ST/OBC & PH
candidates.
6. The tenure of the selected candidate may be extended from time to time based on funding
and requirement in accordance with the guidelines of the council/ICAR.
7. No objection and an experience certificate are required from the employer; in case
he/she is employed.
8. No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview. Applicants have
to attend the interview at their own expense.
9. Concealing of the facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or
termination of the candidate. The decision of the competent authority will be final and
binding in all respects.
10. Young Professional shall be subject to the laws of Secrecy of the country and will sign a
declaration of secrecy and Non-Disclosure Agreement before reporting.
11. In case of any disputes, it will be resolved within the jurisdiction of Hyderabad, Telangana
court only.
