Q.2 Quantity that measures the opposition offered by a circuit to the flow of current is
called impedance. For an ac circuit, reactance corresponding to inductor and capacitor
is also considered, along with resistance. So, impedance for the ac circuit can be given
mathematically as Z2 = R2 + X2, where X is the reactance.
Impedance triangle is a right-angled triangle given as in the diagram and satisfy the
above mathematical equation.
