Hello, good afternoon everyone.
Teacher Cathlyn somehow have given you a hint about our
topic today.
Now, do you agree that all people have certain things to do or perform in a daily basis?
Answer: Yes, ma’am.
Yes. People do certain things or activities every day in order to maintain an organized life
and in order to help us stay focus on things that need to be done and be productive.
Daily activities, or activity of daily living, is any of the routine tasks an individual must be
capable of performing in order to function independently, such as dressing, eating, moving
around, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Example:
I drink my coffee first; then I eat breakfast.
I do a quick workout every day before I go to bed.
I generally go out when I finish my work early.
These examples show the common daily activities that we do in our home.
Establishing a positive daily routine is both a self-investment and a way to do your best for the
rest of the world. It also provides additional benefits, such as giving you structure, building
forward-moving habits, and creating momentum that will carry you on the days when you feel
like you don’t have the strength to carry yourself.
Following a daily routine can help you establish priorities, limit procrastination, keep track of
goals, and even make you healthier.
It lowers your reliance on willpower and motivation because, as Tynan, the author of
Superhuman by Habit, says, habits are “action[s] that you take on a repeated basis with little or
no required effort or thought.”
At this point, let’s watch a video about someone’s daily routine. Try to be observant while
watching the video.
(Play video)
Now that you already watched Ms. Kandy Pupo’s daily routine, according to the video,
Question: How often do Kandy have her lunch?
Answer: Kandy usually has her lunch at 1:30 pm.
(That’s correct! Thank you for that.)
Another Question: Now, do you notice some common words that she used to tell us her daily
routine? Can you enumerate what are those words?
Answer: Yes, ma’am! She used the words always, usually, often, sometimes, etc. to tell us
about her daily activities.
(You are correct! I appreciate your answers.)
So, what do you think is our topic for today based on those words?
Answer: I think the topic for today is all about ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY.
That’s right! I can see that you are all observant while watching the video. Now, let’s have
Teacher Nathalie discuss to you the adverbs of frequency.
