Some people think that the best way to improve road safety is to increase the minimum legal age for
driving cars or riding motorbikes.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In today's world main problem is improve road safety and therefore many people consider that
the best way to improve road safety is to increase the minimum age for driving cars or
motorbikes. Although, I'm minimally agree with this because many young children don’t know
how to drive.
On one hand, it is true that younger drivers, especially teenagers don’t have any experiences and
may be more favorable to risky behavior, such as speeding or using mobile phones during to
drive. Also raising the minimum age might reduce the number of accidents caused by immature.
For example, some studies show that accident rates are higher among drivers under the age of
20.
However, raising the minimum age alone will not solve the fundamental problems behind safe
driving. Many accidents are not caused by age, but by poor driving skills, failure to follow traffic
rules and poor road conditions. To solve this problem, drivers need to be better educated and if
they break the rules, they should be punished more severely than just a fine.
In conclusion, although increasing the legal driving age might slightly reduce accidents among
young people, it is not the best way to improve road safety. I believe a more effective strategy
would be to focus on education, law enforcement, and road conditions.
