HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN (PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE)
Cách dùng Hiện tại đơn:
1. HTĐ diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại / ổn định, bền vững ở hiện tại
Lặp đi lặp lại – Mỗi lần xảy ra lại xảy ra theo đúng 1 cách.
VD: When the traffic light turns red, I need to stop immediately.
● Ổn định bền vững: Ngày xưa vẫn thế, bây giờ vẫn thế, tương lai vẫn thế.
VD: It always rains here in July.
2. Diễn tả quy luật, chân lý, sự thật
VD: Ms Thanh is Quan’s mother/
3. (i) Diễn tả những sự việc xảy ra theo lịch trình, theo thời gian biểu cố định, lặp đi lặp lại
VD: The bus gets into Nong Cong from Thanh Hóa at 6 am tomorrow morning.
4. Diễn tả trạng thái, suy nghĩ, tình cảm tạm thời ở thời điểm nói hoặc ổn định, bền vững
trong tương lai

● Quy tắc chia động từ:
Quy tắc 1: Thêm "s" vào sau hầu hết các động từ thường
Ví dụ: sing -> sings, kick -> kicks, hold -> holds, sit -> sits
Quy tắc 2: Thêm "es" vào sau động từ có tận cùng là o, s, ss, sh, ch, z và x
Ví dụ: hush -> hushes, kiss -> kisses, watch -> watches, fix -> fixes
Quy tắc 3: Nếu động từ kết thúc là 1 nguyên âm (u, e, o, a, i) + "y", ta giữ nguyên đuôi "y" và
thêm "s"
Ví dụ: annoy -> annoys, obey –> obeys, display -> displays, slay –> slays
Quy tắc 4: Nếu động từ kết thúc là 1 phụ âm + "y", ta đổi "y" thành "i" và thêm "es"
Ví dụ: cry -> cries, fly -> flies, study -> studies, carry -> carries
Quy tắc 5: Động từ “have” khi đi với chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít sẽ không thêm “s” mà biến
đổi thành “has”
Ví dụ:
They have three apples. (Họ có 3 quả táo.)
Quan has three apples (Quân có 2 quả táo)
