I have a Job set with two jobs and each has same set of parameters. During Job set
submission, If I enter the parameter values for one Job those should get copied onto the
second Job automatically to avoid duplicate entry.

Please let me know if anyone has done this.

This is not a core Inventory question rather ESS Job Sets however you can review the below:

How do Developer's Pass Values from one Job to Another Job in a Job Set? (Doc ID 1406762.1) To Bottom
To Bottom

Has anyone successfully tried this ? I saw this but haven't had any success.

GOAL

On : [Link].0 version, Replenishment Planning

Unable to set different parameters for Build Plan Archive job when job added twice in custom
job set

Custom job set with same job definition added in multiple sequential steps is not allowing
different parameters to be set for the job when scheduling the job set.

The intent is to have a job set created to run 'Build Plan Archive' sequentially for different
Demand management plans. But as soon as we set parameter to first job in the step, the same
parameter is getting set to the job in next step also in the job set, due to which we are unable to
schedule it to run for different plans.

SOLUTION
Please Add the “enableDuplicateJobWithParamTaskflow”, at Application Defined property,
which needs to be added to a job set with same jobs to avoid overriding of parameters.

Type: Boolean

Name: enableDuplicateJobWithParamTaskflow

Initial Value: true

Read only enabled

Hi Prasanth Senthivel-Oracle and NikkiK,

We have not had any success so far in implementing this for any of the Java Job Types. The
first article refers to using output list and input list in a PL/SQL job and the next article refers to
passing similar/different values for the same job id.

However, if we wanted to make sure that the same parameters repeat for a job set that has
different jobs, it doesn't work. I have configured and tested this multiple ways. For example, if
the user would like to run six different jobs as part of a job set during financial close and they
share some common parameters, lets say date or period then the user has to click on the
individual job and provide the same date or period for each set of request parameters in the
job set which is not the experience any user would appreciate because it doesn't reduce data
entry effort even though its a job set!

I would like to know if someone has solved this use case for a java job type-job set!

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I was able to find an idea submitted in Idea Lab for this functionality to be made available in
2020. Not sure if this use case was resolved but JFYI, if its a valid use case for you as well, then
maybe a vote will help expedite the availability of the functionality. Well, that is my hope!
