Learning Objectives
In this section, you will
➢ learn about the various computer platforms in our school.
➢ get your account information to access these platforms.
➢ know how to log in to these platforms.
1.1 School domain
⚫ Our school has created an account for you. You need to use the password
provided to log in to our school network. For example, if you want to use our
school computers in the STEM room or the library, you must log in to our school
domain first.
⚫ Your username is your student number with a prefix “s”, e.g., if your student
number is 20219999, then your username is s20219999. There is no preset
password, so you need to set your password by yourself. You MUST remember
this password. You may write it down in your student handbook.
Task 1
Log in to our school network and change your password. Write down the
password in the student handbook.

1.2 Our School Intranet (eClass)
⚫ eClass provides an email system that you can use for communicating with your
teachers and fellow students.
⚫ You and your parents can view e-notices issued by our school to obtain updated
information about our school.
⚫ Besides using a PC, you and your parents can log in to the system with “eClass
Student App” or “eClass Parent App” respectively.
⚫ Your parents are required to install the Parent App to sign the e-notices issued.
⚫ The website of our eClass system is [Link] .
⚫ If your student number is xxxxxxxx, your username will be sxxxxxxxx and your
parents’ username will be pxxxxxxxx.
Task 2
Log in to our school intranet (eClass). You may change the password or
continuous to use the current password.

1.3 Google Workspace
⚫ Our school has created an account for you, so that you can use the applications
provided by Google, e.g., Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets,
Google Slides and Google Forms, etc. You will learn how to use these applications
this year.
⚫ Your username is “sxxxxxxxx@[Link]”.
Task 3
Log in to Google, if this is your first time logging in, you need to change the
password. After you log in, go to Gmail to check whether there are new mails.
You should receive one invitation letter asking you to join our Google Classroom.
Click the link in the mail and enter the classroom.

1.4 e-Learning Platform: Google Classroom
⚫ You must use your Google account to log in to the Google Classrooms. Most
teachers in our school use Google Classrooms to facilitate teaching and learning.
⚫ After you have logged in your Google account click the 3x3 dots to access the
applications.
⚫ Click this icon to enter Google Classroom.
⚫ These are the classrooms you have been
enrolled in.
Task 4
Go to our Google Classroom and follow the instruction to finish the first
assignment.

1.5 Microsoft 365
⚫ You also have a Microsoft 365 account. You can use the applications provided
by Microsoft including Microsoft OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive,
etc. There are two versions of Microsoft 365, web-based and desktop. You can
install the desktop version of Microsoft 365 on your personal computer.
⚫ Your username is “sxxxxxxxx@[Link]”.
