The pie chart illustrates information about the popularity of various takeaway foods in the UK.
Overall, Chinese food accounts for the highest proportion of takeaway choices, making it the
most significant figure in the chart, while other cuisines remain much less popular.
As transparent from the pie chart, Chinese food holds the largest proportion of takeaway
accounting for slightly more than a third. Indian cuisine is the second most popular choice,
making up 26% of the total. The two types together contribute to more than half of the foods and
drinks that British people bring home. ialian and England takeaway make up 10% and 9% of
people’s favourite choices.
In contrast, takeaways from four other countries contribute the tiny percentages among all
consumer habits. The proportions are extremely low, with only about 3% of British people in
favour of foods from Mexico, Japan, and Greece. Significantly, 11% of participants never choose
takeaway food, a figure greater than the total for all international cuisines except for Chinese and
Indian.
