INTRODUCING

I am Charity L. Tan, 19 years old, from Barangay 5, Tuburan, Cebu. I graduated from Tuburan
National High School and I am an NC II passer, which provided me with valuable technical
experience and skills during my senior high school years.

I was also involved in taekwondo, a sport that helped me develop discipline, determination, and
a strong sense of focus—qualities that I carry with me in everything I do.

Although I may not be highly skilled in Information Technology yet, I am willing to take the risk
and put in the effort to learn. I believe that with dedication, perseverance, and the right
guidance, I can grow and succeed in this field. My passion for creativity has also inspired me to
pursue a future as a graphic designer, and I believe that studying Bachelor of Science in
Information Technology will help me turn that dream into reality.

FAMILY BACKGROUND

In terms of my family background, Ma’am,

My father’s name is Harvey Tan. He is self-employed and manages his own bike shop, which has
been a steady source of support for our family. My mother is Marichu Tan, and she is a
dedicated housewife who takes care of us at home.

I come from a big family of seven siblings, including myself. I am the fifth child.

My eldest brother is currently working as a manager at 7-Eleven. He is married and supporting


his own family.

My eldest sister, who is the second child, is also married.


My third sibling was a former teacher at the University of San Jose–Recoletos, where he taught
for three years. At present, he has pursued his passion for the arts and is now an event stylist
and event organizer, as well as the proprietor of HL Events and Productions.
My younger sister, who is the fourth child, is currently undergoing training for work.
As I mentioned earlier, I am the fifth child. I graduated from Tuburan National High School, and
my senior high school strand was TVL-ICT. I am also a certified NC II passer.

I have two younger sisters as well, and they are both still in school and continuing their studies.
"Why did you choose the BSIT course?"

Ma’am, I chose the BSIT course because I want to become a graphic designer someday. I enjoy
editing photos and designing, and it’s something I’m really passionate about. I may not be very
good at it yet, but I’m willing to learn and take risks to improve. I believe this course will help me
gain the skills and knowledge I need for my future. I’m excited to learn more and do my best
throughout the journey, ma’am.
