2.5. Solve: 25x+4 + 29 = 210


2.6. If x2 + y2 – 2x + 4y = –5, then what is the value of x + y?

2.7. If x = at2 and y = 2at then what is the relation between x and y?

2.8. Write the value of x by putting (7 – 4x) / (–5) instead of y in the equation 2x + 3y = 9

2.9. Write the co-ordinates of a point on the y axis which is equidistance from two points (2, 3) and (–1, 2)

2.10. A parallelogram with length of base 5 cm and height 4 cm. Calculate the area of parallelogram.

3.2. Ranenbabu have made 4% loss by selling 12 toffees at Rs. 5. Calculate how many toffees he would
sell at Rs. 10 to get 28% profit.

4. Answer the following:

4.3. The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 14 and if 17 is subtracted from the number the two digit

A proper fraction whose denominator is greater than its numerator by 5 and when 3 is added to both
numerator and denominator it becomes 1/4. Find the proper fraction.

5.1. Prove that: If the two diagonals of a quadrilateral bisect each other, then the quadrilateral will be
parallelogram.

5.2. Prove that: If the opposite angles of a quadrilateral are equal, then this will be a parallelogram.

6. Answer any one:

6.1. In a square ABCD, P is any point on the side BC. The perpendicular drawn on AP from the point B
intersects the side DC at the point Q. Prove that AP = BQ.

6.2. In a rectangle ABCD, The points E, F, G, H are on the sides AB, BC, CD, DA respectively such that
AE = CG and BF = DH. Prove that EFGH is a parallelogram.
7. Verify the three points O(0,0), A(4,3) and B(8,6) are collinear or not? (3)

OR
Show that the three points (2,2), (–2,–2) and (–2√3, 2√3) are the vertices of an equilateral triangle.

8. Calculate what is the longest size of the square tile that can be used for paving the rectangular
courtyard with measurement of 385 meter × 60 meter and also find the number of tiles.

OR
If the length of hypotenuse of an isosceles right-angled triangle is 12√2 cm. Find the area of this triangle.
