If you woke up and had a special ability to talk to 1 animal, what animal
would it be?
1. Tell us about yourself.
Answer:
“My name is [Student’s Name]. I am [ ] years old, and I enjoy learning
new things, especially in math and science. I also love playing soccer with
my friends because it teaches me teamwork. I want to join St. Johnsbury
because I am excited to study in an international environment and make
friends from different countries.”
2. Why do you want to study at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju?
Answer:
“I want to study at St. Johnsbury because I know the school encourages
creativity, leadership, and global thinking. I believe this school will give
me the chance to improve my English, try many activities, and grow as a
person. I also want to challenge myself with strong academics.”
3. What is your favorite subject and why?
Answer:
“My favorite subject is history because I like learning about how people
lived in the past and how their decisions affect our lives today. It makes
me think more deeply about the world and how I can be part of shaping the
future.”
4. What subject do you find most difficult, and how do you handle it?
Answer:
“I sometimes find science difficult because there are many concepts to
understand. But when I struggle, I ask questions in class, review the
textbook carefully, and sometimes study with friends. I’ve learned that
being persistent helps me improve.”
5. How do you spend your free time?
Answer:
“In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, playing soccer, and drawing. I
also like volunteering in my community when I can, because helping
others makes me feel proud and responsible.”
6. Describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it.
Answer:
“Last year, I had trouble with a group project because we had different
opinions. I suggested we divide the tasks according to each person’s
strengths, and it worked well. I learned that listening and cooperating are
very important to solve conflicts.”
7. What qualities make you a good classmate or friend?
Answer:
“I think I am a good listener, and I always try to encourage others. When a
classmate feels shy, I invite them to join group work or games. I believe
kindness and respect are the most important qualities in friendship.”
8. What do you hope to achieve in middle school?
Answer:
“I hope to improve my English so I can express myself better, take part in
school clubs, and become more confident as a leader. I also want to
challenge myself with new activities I haven’t tried before.”
9. Do you prefer working alone or in a group?
Answer:
“I like both, but I especially enjoy group work because I can learn different
ideas from others. At the same time, I know it is important to be
responsible for my own part, so I always do my best before sharing with
the team.”
10. How will you contribute to our school community?
Answer:
“I will contribute by being an active and positive student. I will participate
in classes, join sports and clubs, and share my ideas. I will also respect
teachers and classmates, and try to support others so that everyone can feel
included.”
