Computers are being used more and more in education.
Some people say that learning
online is the best way to learn, whereas some claim that it is still better to attend a class
with a teacher. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion
Computers have played an important role in our life, especially in education. It is said that
learning through the internet is the most effective method to study. However, others believe that
nothing can compare to studying at school with teacher. This essay examines this question from
both points ò view and them I will give my own perspective on the matter.
On one hand, teachers can help students solving problems by giving extra explanation. Young
people have abilities to discover everything around them. In other to get clearly what they
concern, they need teachers as a guide. Because teacher can give feedback, students need to go to
school for a suitable place for studying. For example, students can discuss on some issue,
describe their ideas, and teachers will be the one who direct students to the better solutions.
On the other hand, learning at home through the internet is a good choice. Due to the pandemic,
many people have to stay at home for a long time and students is not an exception. In that
situation, learning online is the best way for school to keep on running. The use of computers for
studying can make students interest in subjects. Take for instance, the technology allows teacher
to create various kind of lesson. Students may find it interested to learn online.
From my point of view, I believe that the combination between the two methods can bring best
results. However, I would choose going to school for a better learning. Since computers can not
replace a teacher’s ability to explain things.
Computers are being used more and more in education and some people believe there will
soon be no role for the teacher in education. To what extend do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, computers play a big role in our life, especially in education. It is said teachers will
be completely replaced by computers and there is no room for teachers in education in the next
few years. However, I am of opposing view to this opinion for the following reasons.
Firstly, teachers educate their students not only knowledge but also soft skill. Many people think
that school only provide them knowledge. But that is not enough, school give us more than that.
Teachers also teach us how to be a good person, not just an excellent student. A computer which
is not a human being will never have ability to do that. For example, the very important skill that
every student need is teamwork. Teacher may give them the right situation to work with each
other and conduct them to grow this skill.
Secondly, teachers can give feedback to their students. Young people really want to explore the
world, so the information in book will never be enough to them. Or sometimes students ask for
advices from someone that they trust, teacher is the best one who can show them the most
suitable way for their problems. for instance, if student need to write an essay for his upcoming
scholarship, he may need an advice from his teacher to get a better result.
In conclusion, I somewhat disagree that machines can reduce teachers in education. This is
because teachers can encourage students to learn and teach them how to interact with other
people which computers can never get. The role of teachers in the education of our young
generation can not be replaced by anything.
