Group Work
Visit an organization in your surrounding implemented information system and prepare report.
The outline of the report should contain the following contents (But not limited).
Chapter One
1. Introduction
1.1 Brief Description of the Organization
1.2 Project overview – provide an executive summary that specifies the project’s scope,
feasibility, resource requirements, and schedules that takes to implement the system.
Additionally, a brief statement of the previous problems and how the system solved that
problem, the environment in which the system is implemented, and constraints that affected.
1.3 Recommendation: Any recommendation about the information system
Chapter Two
2. System Description
2.1 Name (Type) and Scope of the information system
2.2 Total budget invested to implement the system
2.3 . Alignment of the information system’s strategic objective with overall strategic objective of
the organization
2.4 Statement of the problem- problem of previous system and how the new system solved that
problem
2.5 Objective of the project- what was the objective of implementing the information system?
Does the system meet its objective? How?
2.6 System description – Description of the selected configuration and a narrative of input
information, tasks performed, and resultant information
2.7 User requirement and the system’s response- describes the business needs for what users
were required from the system and briefly describe the existing situation
2.8 DFD- What Construct process model for a system and draw context data flow diagram
2.9 Constraints of the system- Constraints that affect the system

3. Feasibility Assessment
3.1 Economic analysis
3.2 Technical analysis
3.3 Operational analysis
3.4 Legal and contractual analysis
3.5 Political analysis
3.6 Timeline
3.7 Resource analysis.
Chapter Four
4. Management Issues
4.1 Information Technology Management
4.2 Team configuration and management – provides a description of the team member and
their roles
4.3 resource requirements (should be presented in number and monetary terms)
4.3.1 Physical resources with its budget
4.3.2 Human resources with its budget
4.4 How the new system affects the existing organizational structure? Present previous
organizational structure before IS implementation and the ;new (After IS implementation)
4.5 Communication plan – provides a description of the communication procedures to be
followed by management, team members, and the customer.
4.6 Project standards and procedure – provides descriptions of how deliverables will be
evaluated and accepted by the customer.
4.7 Other project specific topics – provides a description of any other relevant issues related to
the project uncovered during planning.
