With references to the above, it is observed that complaints are still being received
from students regarding non-compliance with the instructions issued by the University relating
to collection of tuition fee and permission to undergo Compulsory Rotatory Internship.
In continuation of the University letter 6th cited, all the Principals/Deans of Private Medical
Colleges affiliated to KNRUHS are once again informed that the tuition fee shall be collected
only for 4Yz years of the course and the same shall be collected in five equal annual
installments strictly in accordance with the Government Orders, NMC Regulations and
TAFRC Guidelines.
Further, students who have successfully completed the prescribed course requirements and
have paid the tuition fee applicable for the period of 4% years shall be permitted to commence
and continue their Compulsory Rotatory Intemship without any intemrption.
The colleges are hereby instructed not to insist upon payment of any additional tuition fee for
the intemship period beyond the fee prescribed for 4%years. The University has already issued
instructions several times in this regard and the same shall be followed scrupulously.
Any refusal to permit eligible students to undergo intemship on the ground of non-payment of
fee beyond the prescribed 4% years, or any deviation from the Govemment Orders, NMC
Regulations, TAFRC Guidelines, and University instructions, will be viewed seriously. If any
complaint is received from the students regarding denial of internship or collection of fee
contrary .
to the prescribed nofins, the University shall initiate appropriate action against the concemed
institution as per the rules in force.
Therefore, all the Principals/Deans are directed to ensure strict compliance with these
instructions and to avoid any action that may cause hardship to students.
