Spanish course funding
The aim of this proposal is to persuade the company Director to let us employees attend a
Spanish language course and financially help us. I will highlight specific information about time
and costs of the course and how the staff would benefit from such an opportunity.
Schedule
The Spanish course we are eager to take up offers a smart schedule, aimed at minimizing any
interference with our work at the Company. Indeed, lectures would last one hour each and
would take place once a week on each employee’s day off at the Instituto Cervantes, located in
the Company’s area.
Estimated Costs
Additionally, we have been informed that a 7-months lessons package would cost 1110£ per
person for individual lessons and 700£ for group lessons, which would be a great opportunity to
save money. Moreover, as previously mentioned, the staff kindly ask for the Director’s help to
meet the course costs involved, contributing 45% of the total amount for each employee.
Benefits
Since we work for a supply chain company whose headquarter is located in Madrid, we often
find ourselves dealing directly with Spanish suppliers and clients. Therefore, a language course
would minimize misunderstandings and difficulties in communication, as well as make our work
much more efficient and time-saving.
In light of this, we firmly believe such initiative should be taken into consideration as enhancing
our Spanish language knowledge is no longer an advanced skill, but an essential requirement.
Undoubtedly, the staff would overcome the language barriers and gain self-confidence when
communicating with international clients and foreign markets.
