MCDU MENU => FM1
DATA
Crosscheck the airframe (A330-900), the engines type (TRENT 7000-72 or 7000) and
check that the ACTIVE NAV DATA BASE is current.
STORED => DELETE ALL => CONFIRM DELETE ALL
Check any messages, then, delete them. Be careful ! One of the message could be
delete and not come back so read carefuly the messages.
INIT
Select INIT REQUEST.
Check all the data carefuly ! There’s a bug that appears every time on this aircraft :
the informations on INIT A after doing INIT REQUEST could be false.
F-PLN
Enter the SID.
Departure airdrome => DEPARTURE => Select the RWY => Select the SID
Clear the F-PLN DISCONTINUITY
Enter the STAR.
Arrival airdrome => ARRIVAL => Select the expected approach => Select the STAR
If you want to select the approach transition :
APPR VIAS => Select the via
If you want to select the STAR transition :
TRANS => Select the via
When everything is correct, push INSERT key.
Now, you have to enter your emergency SID.

Press COPY ACTIVE key

Arrow to the right => STORED WAYPOINTS => Add new WPT to the data base =>
STORE
SEC F-PLN
Press COPY ACTIVE key
Enter the emergency point below the DEP RWY.
Select the emergency point => HOLD => Add TRK° / Turn / Time-Dist
Select the emergency point below the holding => enter your DEP ARPT at NEW DEST
Select an arrival procedure to your DEP ARPT => INSERT
→ Engine out setup.

SEC F-PLN => PERF => NEXT PAGE to APPR => Select the current ARPT weather
RAD NAV
Insert the NAVAIDS that you need with the courses and frequencies.
F-PLN
Select the departure airdrome => FIX INFO => Insert your DEP ARPT with RWY in use
(ex : EDDF18) => Then, insert the RWY TOFF radial
→ It will create an extended center line.
Arrow to the right => Insert the emergency point
→ It will put the emergency point on the ND.
Check distance next to the destination airport and verify that it correspond with the
FPL.
*Check the SID with IAC*
→ Verify the speeds, altitudes, etc.…
INIT
Arrow to the right => Enter the ZFW/ZFWCG and BLOCK
Then, insert the TRIP WIND :
HDxxx if in the FPL the « AVG W/C » begins with « M »,
TLxxx if in the FPL the « AVG W/C » begins with « P ».
Then, check if any fuel information correspond with the FPL.

Enter your takeoff data.

NADP 1 = 1500 ft + ARPT elev. in ft / 3000 ft + ARPT elev. in ft
ENG OUT ACC
1000 ft + ARPT elev. in ft
