Project

The project involves creating a 3D model of the heart and its major blood vessels, illustrating blood flow to other organs. It requires accurate representation of heart chambers, valves, and blood vessels, along with a flowchart detailing the pathway of blood circulation. Additionally, the model must include labels for identification and descriptions for clarity in the blood flow process.

Project #1: Heart and Blood Vessels Model

Create a 3D model of the heart along with its major blood vessels,
demonstrating the flow of blood through the heart to other organs. The
project should include a clear and accurate depiction of the heart's
chambers, valves, and major blood vessels, as well as an accompanying
flowchart illustrating the blood flow. Included will also be another organ
chosen by the teacher that is supplied by the heart with blood.

Be sure to use materials that will make the project be 3D-like, along with
labels or small cards for naming parts, and a poster board to show the blood
flow.

Project Requirements:

1. Heart Model Construction

- Build a 3D heart model showing all four chambers (right atrium, right
ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle).

- Include the major valves: tricuspid valve, pulmonary valve, mitral valve,
and aortic valve.

- Construct the major blood vessels: superior and inferior vena cava,
pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins, and aorta.

- Construct the blood vessels for delegated organs that go to and from the
heart.

2. Blood Flowchart:

- Create a visual flowchart showing the pathway of blood through the heart.

- The flowchart should trace deoxygenated blood from the body, through
the heart to the lungs, and back as oxygenated blood to the heart, then to
the rest of the body.

- Clearly label and color-code the pathways for oxygenated and

deoxygenated blood.

3. Labels and Annotations:

- Accurately label all chambers, valves, and vessels on the heart model.

- Use cards or flags for easy identification of parts.

- Ensure that the flowchart includes short descriptions explaining each step
in the blood circulation process.
