Workplace English Practice – Daily Communication

Part 1 – Warm-up: Quick Response

Part 2 – Fill in the Blank

Điền cụm phù hợp vào chỗ trống.

Part 3 – Fill in the blanks while speaking

●​ Dialogue 1 – Meeting with your manager

Situation: You’re in a meeting with your boss about customers’ complaints

Manager: The client is unhappy with the product update. Did you check the report?

Staff: Yes, I checked the report

Manager: Even when you already checked the report, we still need to update
everything today.

Staff: Now I’m busy, I will send it to you tomorrow

Manager: OK I will wait for your report, but before that can you contact the
design team this afternoon?

Staff: What do I have to must do with the design team?

Manager: Our customers complained about the application appearance so you have to
discuss it again with the design team.

Staff: Yes, I will meet the design team to collect information and fix the problems

●​ Dialogue 2 – Reporting to Your Manager

Situation: Your manager asks about your progress.

Manager: Have you completed the task?


Employee: (Y) I have completed my task, please check it. (N) No, but I already
completed 70% of the task, maybe this afternoon I can complete it and send it to
you.

Manager: Great. Can you also help the marketing team?

Employee: (Y) Yes I can help them, please give me the contact of the team leader.
(N) Today I have my personal business so I have to go at 5pm

Manager: Thank you.

Employee: No problem (say sorry) / Your welcome (say thank you)
