CORRPRO® RECTIFIERS
Standard Air-Cooled Cathodic Protection Rectifier
Description
The Standard series of Air-Cooled Rectifiers provide an
economical alternative to the Custom and Automatically
controlled rectifier lines. Combining a lighter gauge
enclosure with a chassis pan method of component
layout results in a cost-effective rectifier. Incoming
AC power is stepped down, isolated and rectified to a
controlled DC output. Input-overload and short-circuit
protection are provided by magnetic-trip breakers;
output protection by means of one-time fuses in
the transformer secondary. Primary AC/DC surge
protection and secondary surge protection provided by
disk-style M.O.V’s. Output control using 25-steps of
tap adjustment, gives ample control to output settings.

Description
The Hazardous Location Rectifier is designed for
applications where current requirements are small
and where it is necessary for the rectifier to be as
inconspicuous as possible. The combination of a
compact enclosure and economic price, make this
an ideal rectifier for tank farms, refineries or other
applications requiring economical explosion proof
rectifiers. The Hazardous Location Rectifier provides
25 steps of manual tap adjustment. Explosion proof
fittings make this rectifier suitable for Class “1”,
Division “2”, Group “D” hazardous environments.

This chart is useful for calculating AC line current. Multiply DC volts times the DC amperes to obtain
the figures across the bottom of the chart and follow a verticle line up until the AC voltage and phase
selected is intersected. Read across the chart for the AC line current.
Example: A 24 volt 100 amp rectifier operating on 230 volts ACf three phase will draw 8 AC amperes.
For unites less that 10;000 DC watts divide all figures by 10.

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
“Lockout/Tagout” (LOTO) might seem like a complicated phrase, but it simply refers to a way in which
employees can be trained to decrease the chances of them suffering an injury or electrical shock.
The “Lockout/Tagout” method is an ideal way to have employees remember to turn off a machine or
tool they are using, separate it from its power source, and either tag or lock the machine or tool until it
has been determined all of the power has drained from it.
The LOTO method is of great importance in the manufacturing industry where another employee can
move the machine or tool, and suffer injury if the machine or tool has not been locked into position, or
prevented from turning on accidentally.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Each year there are more than 164,000 emergency room-treated injuries in the
U.S. relating to ladders. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) offers the following
safety precautions to help prevent these injuries.
Remote Monitoring Systems
Make sure the weight your ladder is supporting does not exceed its maximum load rating (user plus
materials). There should only be one person on the ladder at one time
Use a ladder that is the proper length for the job. Proper length is a minimum of 3 feet extending over
the roofline or working surface. The three top rungs of a straight, single or extension ladder should not
be stood on
Straight, single or extension ladders should be set up at about a 75-degree angle
All metal ladders should have slip-resistant feet
Metal ladders will conduct electricity. Use a wooden or fiberglass ladder in the vicinity of power lines or
electrical equipment. Do not let a ladder made from any material contact live electric wires
Be sure all locks on extension ladders are properly engaged
The ground under the ladder should be level and firm. Large flat wooden boards braced under the
ladder can level a ladder on uneven ground or soft ground. A good practice is to have a helper hold the
bottom of the ladder
Do not place a ladder in front of a door that is not locked, blocked or guarded
Keep your body centered between the rails of the ladder at all times. Do not lean too far to the side
while working

At the construction site, the visibility of flaggers is key to their safety. Construction safety vests are not
only ideal, but can fulfill a requirement from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA.
According to OSHA, garments for flaggers can be a variety of fluorescent colors, including orange, yellow
or yellow green. These garments can be construction safety vests, shirts or jackets. Flaggers working at
night should wear construction safety vests or comparable garments with a retro reflective material. The
retro reflective material can be numerous colors, including orange, yellow, white, or a fluorescent color.
OSHA requires that the reflective material be visible to a distance of 1,000 feet away.
