INTRODUCTION
Micro Teaching is an important part of teacher training programme. It is a special training
technique which helps trainee teachers develop teaching skills in a simplified classroom
situation. In micro teaching, a teacher teaches a small topic to a small group of students
within a short period of time.
Micro teaching provides an opportunity to practice different teaching skills before entering a
real classroom. It helps trainee teachers improve confidence, communication skills and
classroom management ability.
During my teacher training programme, I observed and practiced different micro teaching
skills. This experience helped me understand the importance of effective teaching and
proper classroom interaction.

MEANING OF MICRO TEACHING
Micro teaching is a teacher training technique in which a trainee teacher practices one
teaching skill at a time. It is called "micro" because the teaching situation is reduced in terms
of class size, lesson duration and teaching content.
In micro teaching, the teacher focuses on a specific skill and tries to improve it through
practice and feedback.
The main purpose of micro teaching is to develop confidence and teaching competency
among trainee teachers.

My micro teaching experience was very useful and helped me gain practical knowledge
about teaching-learning process. It will be beneficial for my future teaching career.
