DF1: DESCRIBE HCM CITY
I think HCM city is a modern city because you find everything here such as foreign business,
international school, big supermarket, shopping centers, cinemas and so on. You always see
high-rise buildings, diverse vehicles and people in fashionable clothes.
However, HCMC is very crowded. There are many people and vehicles on the street. So, you
may get into a traffic jam anytime.
HCMC is the biggest metropolis in the South of VN with a large number of residents, so most
streets in the centre of the city are always noise.
The pace of life here is very fast, you can enjoy the exciting streetfood, entertaiment activities
at almost any time of the day. The city offers a lot of incredible opportunities for your career,
your education.
The Vietnamese people from many different regions keep on moving to the city because
HCMC is the largest city which provides high – paying jobs for them.
DF 4: THE FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL
I still remember my first day at school very clearly. I was six years old, and it was my first
day at elementary school. Before i went to my school for the first time, i haven’t had a wink
of sleep because i felt nervous but excited.
On that day, before i left the housse, my stomach felt terrible. In fact, i had been crying for ten
minutes because i did not want to leave my parents. My parents took me to school and we
went early to avoid the traffic jam. I was wearing a brand- new blue school uniform, and the
shoes felt stiff and comfortable. When we arrived, i saw the classroom. It was very big and
bright, with colorful posters on the walls. I didn’t know any of the other children; they were
all complete strangers.
When i was walking to my classroom, i held my mother’s hand tightly. The teacher was
smiling and welcoming each student warmly.
Before that day, i had never been to a real school before. I had only stayed at home and had
played with my neighbors, so i had been imagining what school life would be like for weeks.
When i finally sat in my small wooden chair, i realized that my dream had come true.
That morning, i promised my mother that i would study hard to make her pround. At the end
of day, my mother picked me up, and i told her i had had a wonderful time.
CHRONOLOGY
If you want to buy a birthday cake for your friend, you should go to the bakery. In case you
don’t know any good one, you can search on the Internet or ask your friends. Unless you
know to get there, you will use Google maps or ask the local people on the street.
When you arrive there, you will park your vehicles. Then, you enter the store. The staff will
greet you with a smile. After that, you have to choose a birthday cake. You just tell the staff
that you would like to buy a birthday cake, and they will ask you about the size and the flavor
you prefer. Normally, they will lead you to the glass display case so you can see the options.
There are a lot of kinds of cakes, such as birthday cake, wedding cake and aniversary cake
you can choose. After you finish choosing, she will wrap it and bring it to the cash register.
You can ask her to write some wishes on the cake. Finally, she will put the cake into a box
and give you a plastic knife, candles,disposable plates. You will pay for the cake by cash, card
or QR code. You either choose to have the cake delivered to your home or pick it up yourself.
If you don’t go there to buy a birthday cake, because your friend doesn’t have a sweet tooth,
the distance is too long, or the weather is bad. Then, you can make a handmade gift for your
friend by watching on Youtube. Therefore, this gift will be more meaningful and your friend
will be happy for a long time.
After that, you will enjoy the cake with your friend. If the cake is delicious, the staff serve you
well, you will remember the address, refer it to your family and return next time. If the cake is
terrible, the staff don’t serve you well, you can give some positive feedback, suggest some
improvements and return if everything is better.
B. SPEAKING
DF2: I REALLY ENJOY MY TRIP TO THE BEACH
I really enjoy my trip to the beach. I went with my university friends during our summer
break. There were seven of us, and we had been planning this trip for a long time. This trip
was my friend’s idea because we all wanted to relax after finishing our final exams. We swam
in the sea, collected shells and took many photos. I liked swimming the most because the
water was cool and refreshing. We went last Saturday morning to Vung Tau, a beautiful place
near the sea. We choose that beach because it is clean, safe, and not too crowded. We traveled
by car, and it was about 100 kilometers from our university. The trip took almost two and haft
hours., but we had a lot of fun talking and listening the music on the way. We spent about 1
million VNĐ each for transportation, food and drinks. We also enjoyed fresh seafood at the
local restaurant, and it was delicious. The sounds of the waves, the fresh air, and the warm
sunshine made me feel peaceful and happy. I really enjoyed this trip because it helped me
create beautiful memories with my friends. I hope we can visit the beach together again soon.
DF3:
I really like to learn English at Outeref school because the learning enviroment here is very
comfortable. The teachers are friendly and they always supports us in class. When i join the
lessons, i feel excited to practice speaking while working with my classmates. The activities
are fun, and they still help us improve our grammar and vocabulary. We often work in groups,
so i can learn how to communicate better with other people. Althought English is some
difficult, i try my best every day. If i make mistakes, my teacher kindly helps me correct
them. The school also has such modern equipment that studying becomes more interesting
and effective. I belive that learning English at Outeref school will help me communicate in
English as if i were a native speaker. I really enjoy being a student here as i want to continue
improving my English skills so that i can succeed in the future
