Script: Uni Prep Final Project
– Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Sadie. Today, I’m going to share my academic goals, the
university I plan to attend, the career I want to pursue, and the steps I’m taking to build my
future.
I chose to study psychology because I’ve always been deeply interested in
understanding how people think, feel, and behave. I want to learn how the
mind works so I can help others overcome their challenges and also
understand myself better in the proces.
– My University Choice
The university I plan to attend is RMIT University Vietnam.
I chose RMIT because it provides an international learning environment with psychology
program that follows global academic standards. .
Psychology in Vietnam is still developing, and Vietnam National Universities focus heavily
on theory. Their degrees are often not widely recognized internationally. I don’t want to study
abroad, but I still want to get a global standards degree. RMIT lets me stay close to my family
while receiving a high-quality education that will be accepted worldwide. It will bring me
many job opportunities in the future.
– The Course I Will Be Studying
I will be studying the Bachelor of Psychology at RMIT.
This program will help me understand human behaviour, emotional development, mental-
health issues, and the scientific foundations of psychology.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I will need to do one year of professional
placement. This year is very important because it gives me hands-on experience working
with real clients and learning how mental-health support works in real situations.
Once I finish the placement, I will meet the qualifications to apply for a Master of clinical
psychology. Completing a master’s degree is a requirement for becoming a psychiatrist,
which is my long-term career goal. This whole process may take several years, but it will
prepare me to work professionally in the mental-health field.
– How I Will Achieve This Goal
To enter RMIT, I need an IELTS score of 6.5 and a GPA of around 7.0.
To achieve this, I have created a clear study plan:
I spend two to three hours every day practicing IELTS, focusing on vocabulary,
reading speed, writing structure, and listening accuracy.
I stay fully committed to my MOET subjects to maintain a strong academic
transcript.
I practice time management so I can balance English study, schoolwork, and rest.
For me, meeting these academic requirements is not just about getting into RMIT — it’s
about training myself to be more disciplined and prepared for university life.
– My Strengths
Two of my strongest qualities are:
1. I always try my best
2. I am disciplined
3. I realized that I am someone who can truly empathize with others, and
These strengths help me stay committed to my goals and push through challenges.
Psychology requires a lot of reading, research, and careful observation. My discipline
and determination will help me stay focused and work effectively both in university
and in my future profession and empathy motivates me to pursue psychology. I want
to understand people on a deeper level and use my sensitivity to help them feel seen,
heard, and supported.
– My Weakness and How I’m Improving
One weakness I’m working on is that sometimes I am not careful enough when completing
tasks. This can lead to small mistakes that could be avoided.
To improve this, I’m learning to:
Slow down
Double-check my work
Use checklists
Break tasks into smaller steps
Reflect on mistakes so I don’t repeat them
By building these habits, I hope to become more detail-oriented — which is important for
anyone working in mental health.
– The Job I Want to Pursue
In the future, I want to become a psychiatrist.
Psychologists focus on therapy and counseling, while
psychiatrists are medical doctors who are qualified to
prescribe medication and administer medical treatments
for mental health disorders
This career requires strong scientific knowledge, empathy, patience, and the ability to truly
understand people. I want to help those who struggle silently with mental health issues like
anxiety, depression, or stress — especially young people who often do not know how to
express their feelings.
– My Long-Term Dream
In the long term, I hope to help make mental health more understood and accepted in
Vietnam. I want to help reduce the stigma around therapy and mental-health treatment.
This job has no prospects
I dream of contributing to projects or organizations that support young people, guide families,
and promote emotional well-being. If I can help even one person feel understood and
supported, that would already make my journey meaningful.
– Conclusion
Thank you for listening. I believe that with discipline, determination, and a passion for
psychology, I can achieve my educational goals and build a future where I can support others
through mental-health care.
