1. At 400v and 50 Hz the total core loss of a transformer was found to be
2400w. When the transformer is supplied at 200v and 25 Hz, the core loss is
800w. Calculate the hysteresis and eddy current loss at 400v and 50 Hz.
2. A 20KVA ,2500/250V,50 HZ,1-phase transformer gave open circuit test on
low voltage side is 250V,1.4A,105w and short circuit test on high voltage side
is 104V,8A and b320w. then calculate power factor at maximum voltage
regulation
3. The three windings 1, 2, 3 of the transformer are wounded on the same core.
The turn ration N1:N2:N3 is 4:2:1. A resistor of 10 ohm is connected across
winding 2. A capacitor of reactance 2.5 ohm is connected across winding 3.
Winding 1 is connected across 400V, AC supply. Then what will be current I1
in winding 1?
4. A 3 phase wound rotor induction machine develops a maximum torque of 4
times the full load torque at slip of 0.2. The per phase rotor resistance is 0.04
ohm. The stator resistance and rotational losses are negligible. Then
a) Calculate the slip at full load torque if the stator resistance were
considered
b) Calculate the value of external resistance that must be inserted in the
rotor circuit to obtain maximum torque at starting

respectively. If the ratio of rotor to stator turns is N2/N1=0.67. then
