Job Description – Estimation Engineer

Position: Estimation Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 5+ Years

Industry: Construction

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our
construction team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates,
quantity take-offs, BOQs, tender documentation, and project budgeting for construction
projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of
construction materials, labor costing, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and construction projects.


2. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
3. Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and quantity take-offs.
4. Evaluate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
5. Coordinate with sales, procurement, project, and design teams for pricing and technical
clarifications.
6. Prepare tender documents, quotations, and bid submissions.
7. Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control measures.
8. Conduct site visits whenever required for project evaluation.
9. Maintain estimation records and cost databases.
10. Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.


2. Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and costing.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
5. Good understanding and experience of BOQ preparation and tendering processes.
6. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.


2. Knowledge and understanding of project budgeting and cost control.
3. Strong coordination and team management skills.

Salary:

40k to 60 K
