Life and Career Skills is a course that explores the interconnectedness of the science of personal development, health and wellness, and career readiness, developing life skills for self-determination, adaptability, resilience, and
leadership to engage responsibly in the workplace and community. It equips learners with competencies in personal, physical, social, and career development, preparing them for transition to various pathways.
Culminating Performance Standard:
The learners shall be able to… Independently create and present a comprehensive, multidimensional Personal Life Mastery Portfolio (PLMP) that demonstrate deep self-regulation, strategic goal- setting across the four developmental
domains (Personal/Social, Academic, Career/Vocational, and Digital), and an actionable advocacy plan for fostering healthy, supportive relationship dynamics within their immediate community.
Overview of the Performance Task:

Performance Task Title

Voice of Growth: A Reflective Podcast on Self-Discovery and life skills.

In this culminating performance task, learners will work in pairs to create a reflective podcast that explores personal experiences contributing to their self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-regulation. Through guided conversation
and reflection, they will analyze how significant life experiences have shaped their understanding of themselves and influenced their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Learners will further discuss how the lessons learned from
these experiences can be applied across various life domains, including personal and social relationships, academic responsibilities, career and vocational aspirations, and digital citizenship. This task provides an authentic
opportunity for learners to demonstrate self-reflection, critical thinking, communication skills, and the practical application of life skills in everyday contexts.
