Chapter 1: Introduction to Computer System


• Computer: Electronic device that accepts data, processes it and produces information.
• IPO Cycle: Input → Process → Output.
• Characteristics: Speed, Accuracy, Storage, Automation, Versatility.
• Hardware: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Printer.
• Software: System Software and Application Software.

Chapter 2: Operating System


• OS acts as an interface between user and hardware.
• Functions: File, Memory and Device Management.
• Examples: Windows, Linux, Android.

Chapter 3: Memory and Storage


• RAM: Temporary memory.
• ROM: Permanent memory.
• Secondary Storage: Hard Disk, SSD, Pen Drive, DVD.

Chapter 4: Number System
