layer that powers natural language app creation, document intelligence, procurement automation, and
conversational interfaces.

The Role
We are looking for a Python AI Developer to join the FlashAI team. You will work on building,
integrating, and optimising AI features across our platform — from LLM-powered workflow generators
and document parsers to procurement assistants and chat-based agents. You will work closely with the
founder and senior engineers, and own features end-to-end from prototype to production.
This is a hands-on role. You will write code daily, talk to clients occasionally, and have direct visibility
into what we ship and why.
What You Will Do
• Build and maintain AI features in Python using the Claude API and other LLM providers,
including prompt engineering, prompt caching, and structured output handling.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Django that integrate AI capabilities with our React
frontend and MongoDB data layer.
• Implement document processing pipelines (PDF, DOCX, Excel, images) for extraction,
classification, and intelligent automation.
• Work on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, embeddings, and vector search for
client-specific knowledge bases.
• Build and refine agentic workflows where AI handles multi-step tasks like procurement, GRN
processing, and approvals.
• Experiment with local and open-source LLMs (Ollama, Hugging Face) where data privacy or cost
demands it.
• Write clean, testable Python code, debug production issues, and contribute to code reviews.
• Collaborate with the founder and product team to translate client requirements into working AI
features quickly.
Must-Have Skills
• 0–2 years of hands-on Python experience (internships, freelance projects, or full-time work all
count).
• Solid grasp of Python fundamentals: data structures, OOP, exception handling, virtual
environments, and package management.
• Practical experience with at least one LLM API (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar) — not just
chat usage, but actual API integration in code.
• Comfort with prompt engineering: writing clear prompts, handling few-shot examples, and
parsing structured outputs (JSON, XML).
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP — both consuming and building them.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to debug ambiguous, real-world issues.
• Good written and spoken English — you will read documentation, write commit messages, and
occasionally talk to clients.
Good-to-Have Skills
• Experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask for building backend services.
• Exposure to MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or another database in a real project.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS, Qdrant) and embedding models.
• Experience with RAG pipelines or LangChain / LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of document processing libraries: PyPDF, python-docx, openpyxl, BeautifulSoup,
pandas.
• Exposure to running local LLMs via Ollama, [Link], or similar.
• Basic understanding of Docker and Linux command line.
• Any side projects, GitHub contributions, or hackathon work involving AI/ML — please share
links.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. We care more about
what you can build than where you studied — strong self-taught candidates with a solid portfolio are
equally welcome.
