1. Liver Function Tests (LFTs)
Test Normal Range

ALT 7 – 55 U/L

AST 8 – 48 U/L

ALP 40 – 129 U/L

GGT 9 – 48 U/L

Total Bilirubin 0.3 – 1.2 mg/dL (5 – 21 µmol/L)

Direct Bilirubin 0 – 0.3 mg/dL (0 – 5 µmol/L)

Albumin 3.5 – 5.0 g/dL (35 – 50 g/L)

Total Protein 6.0 – 8.3 g/dL (60 – 83 g/L)

Prothrombin Time (PT) 11 – 15 seconds

2. Lipid Profile
Test Normal Range

Total Cholesterol < 200 mg/dL (< 5.2 mmol/L)

LDL-C < 100 mg/dL (< 2.6 mmol/L)

HDL-C > 40 mg/dL (men), > 50 mg/dL (women)

Triglycerides < 150 mg/dL (< 1.7 mmol/L)

Non-HDL Cholesterol < 130 mg/dL (< 3.4 mmol/L)

Total Chol/HDL Ratio <5


3. Thyroid Function Tests (TFTs)
Test Normal Range

TSH 0.4 – 4.0 mIU/L

Free T4 (FT4) 0.8 – 1.8 ng/dL (10 – 23 pmol/L)

Free T3 (FT3) 2.3 – 4.2 pg/mL (3.5 – 6.5 pmol/L)

Total T4 4.5 – 12.5 µg/dL

Total T3 80 – 180 ng/dL

4. Clotting Profile
Test Normal Range

Prothrombin Time (PT) 11 – 15 seconds

INR 0.8 – 1.2 (normal), 2.0 – 3.0 (therapeutic)

aPTT 25 – 35 seconds

Thrombin Time (TT) 14 – 19 seconds

Fibrinogen 200 – 400 mg/dL (2 – 4 g/L)

D-dimers < 0.5 mg/L FEU (< 500 ng/mL)
