Activity: Bring me an Adjective

Each pupil will be given a metacard with an adjective written on it. The teacher will
say:

Number (e.g., one, ten, four)


Opinion (e.g. delicious, sweet, jolly)

Activity: Reading a story “Mia’s Birthday”

At Mia’s birthday party, the room looked amazing. On the table was a one
delicious large round pink cake. She also has one pack of sweet star-shaped
colorful cookies. Beside it were nine sweet small brown cupcakes. She is
expecting her four jolly friends to arrive.
“Mia, are the cupcakes enough for your friends if each friend would have two
cupcakes each?” her mother asks.

Do you think the 9 cupcakes is enough for her four friends if each of them would
have two cupcakes each?

“No worries, mom. It Is enough for them. There is still one cupcakes left for
everyone.” Everyone cheered and shared the treats happily. The lively, fun,
cheerful party continued perfectly.

Questions:
1. How is the party described at the end of the story?
2. How would you feel if you were at Mia’s party and helped solve the
cupcake problem?
3. Why is it important to celebrate with friends during special occasions?

In the story, what food did Mia prepared?
