AARAV’S VOICE NOTE

(soft, tired voice)

“Hey.. uh, sorry for sending this so late. I just.. I couldn’t sleep. I was just thinking about
how weird school is. Like, you’re constantly surrounded by hundreds of kids screaming
and talking, but you can sit there for eight hours and not have a single person actually look
at you. You guys think I’m just this quiet kid who doesn't mind being the punchline. But
man… it gets really tiring. It just feels like I’m already invisible, so… what’s even the point?”

(Silence.)

George

Bro sounds like a sad movie trailer.

Anirudh

The math test completely fried his brain.

(Small laughter.)

Sparsh No… something sounds wrong.

Teacher Take your seats, please. I need to let you know… Aarav won't be in today.

George

Let me guess, he's still sleeping?

Teacher (Sternly) George, sit down. His mother called this morning. He had a severe
emotional breakdown last night.

(Students shocked.)

Bhavesh Before sleeping… he sent one final message in the class group. (Long silence.)

Sparsh (softly) We heard it. But we never replied. (Lights fade slowly.)

George Oh, come on, everyone gets mocked when they give a wrong [Link] is it a

Sparsh When someone hears the same joke every day… it stops becoming a joke.

SCENE 4 — CORRIDOR FLASHBACK

(Lights shift.)

George

(Shoving past Aarav) Step aside, lil-bro.

Anirudh Watch out, George, you might trip over him.

(Students laugh.)

George

Aarav (quietly) You only say that because it’s not happening to you. (Silence.)
SCENE 5 — LUNCH BREAK

(Flashback lighting.)

Bhavesh We’re discussing project work.

George

(Other tables clearly full.)

Aarav Oh… okay. (He quietly walks away.)

Emmanuel Do you know what repeated rejection does? (Pause.) At first it hurts. Then

probably fine.” You all thought Aarav was weak because he was short. But people are not
measured by height. They are measured by how much pain they carry silently.

Aarav did not disappear suddenly. He disappeared slowly. In jokes. In corridors. In silence.

A piece of software noticed Aarav stopped logging in before any human being in this school
