Question
You are Marcus, a sixteen-year-old student. Your school recently staged its annual end-of-year
drama production. You had been cast in the lead role and had rehearsed for months. On the night of
the performance, something unexpected happened. After the production, you write a diary entry
about the experience.
Write your diary entry. In your diary entry, you should write about:
• your feelings and expectations before the performance and what the unexpected event was
• how you responded to the unexpected event during the performance and how others reacted
• what this experience made you feel about yourself, your preparation, and your ambitions for
the future
Up to 15 marks are available for the content of your and up to 5 marks for the quality of your
answer, writing.
