a. Attendance. According to CHED policy, the total number of student absences should not exceed 20% of the total number of meetings or be
equivalent to 9 hours for a three-unit course. Students incurring more than 9 hours of unexcused absences automatically get a failing grade
regardless of class standing. b. Grading System. At the beginning of the semester/term, students have the right to be informed about the grading
criteria reflected in the course syllabus. Only duly registered students should be given grades, and this can be double-checked through the
official class list issued by the Office of the College Registrar through the faculty portal.
c. Written/Oral Major Examination. Long Quiz and Oral/Written Examination will be administered as scheduled. No special examination will
be given unless with a valid reason and subject to the approval of the Program Head or Chairman of the Business Administration
Department. Furthermore, students are strongly encouraged to take these examinations, and no one will be excused unless there is a special
agreement on the part of the instructor.
1. Major examinations are usually conducted every 18 days or 6 weeks to measure student achievement and evaluate learning outcomes.
2. All students must take the examinations as scheduled except for a reasonable, just cause acceptable to the College Dean. 3. As a rule,
the three (3) major examinations (Prelim, Mid-term, Final) are compulsory for all students. No other requirement or activity in lieu of
said major examinations shall be allowed except in special cases as determined and approved by the Dean.
CAINTA CATHOLIC COLLEGE

4. Special examinations may only be allowed as approved by the Dean and within a prescribed period. A student must present a “Permit”
to take a special examination. The student should pay a special examination fee at the Finance Office.
5. Examination permits are strictly required, without any exemption whatsoever, for all students taking major exams (Prelim, Mid-term,
Final) throughout the semester.
d. Submission of Assessment/Compliance Task (Student Outputs) should be on time; late coursework submission will not be accepted. If the
student has an extenuating circumstance, it must be discussed, and any decision should be made before the due date; otherwise, it will be
considered non-compliance at all. Copied works/assignments or any required tasks to be submitted in the class are strictly prohibited. If
anyone is found guilty, it will also be considered cheating.
e. Course Portfolio will be collected one week before the end of the semester. Lost and incomplete documents will not be given due credit. f.
Language of Instruction. Lectures, discussions, and documentation will be in English. Written and spoken work may receive a lower mark if
the instructor believes the student is deficient in English.
g. Honor, Dress, and Grooming codes. All students are expected to be obedient and show respect to their instructors. They must also be aware
of and committed to the prescribed Dress and Grooming Codes as cited in the student handbook.
Code of Honor means a student should not be involved in plagiarism on written work or cheating in the examination. The proper citation that
the author made for the idea must be given emphasis in the use of thought, design, plans, and other learning ideas.
