WRITING TASK ONE LINEGRAPH ESSAY 2

The given line graph illustrates the percentage of visitors who attended
aquarium, castle, zoo and festival in Scotland during 30 years, between 1980 and
2010.
Overall, the percentage of tourists who visited aquarium and festival showed a
downward trajectory with festivals percentage seeing more noticeable changes.
The zoo, which was initially the least visited one and aquarium, were the most
attended destinations at the end of the time period.
In 1980, festival attendance was the highest among the four attractions, with
around 30% of tourists attending, followed closely by aquariums at approximately
28%. Castle visits began at just above 20%, and zoos were the least popular, with
only 10% of visitors. Over the next 15 years, the percentage of tourists visiting
castles rose sharply, reaching a peak of 45% in 1995, making it the most visited
attraction during that time. Meanwhile, aquarium visits peaked at 35% in 1980 but
declined steadily afterward.
Zoo attendance fluctuated slightly throughout the years. After a small increase in
the middle of 1980s, it dipped again before rising gradually to 20% by 2010.
However, the visitors of festival steadily decreased from 30% in 1980 to around
18% in 2010. By the end of the period, zoos had overtaken both festivals and
aquariums in popularity, while castle visits remained the highest, although they
showed a slight decline after 1995.
