Amritha - Good evening, honoured guests, respected teachers, and our beloved seniors.
We
gather for an evening that is both joyful and bittersweet. For tonight, we celebrate the memories,
friendships, and moments that have filled these halls with laughter over the years.
Pranav - This evening marks the closing of one grand chapter and the beginning of many new
ones. Under the theme of royalty, we honour the seniors who have ruled these corridors with
their presence, achievements, and their unforgettable spirit.
Your hosts, Amritha and Pranav, are honoured to guide you through this special celebration..
And though every farewell carries a hint of sadness, tonight is not about goodbye alone. It is
about celebrating a journey. A journey filled with lessons, laughter, and friendships that will
remain with us forever.
Amritha - A royal gathering is never complete without the presence and blessing of the
chancellor of the kingdom, the guiding light of our institution.
And so, with great respect and gratitude, we invite our beloved Principal/ IGCSE Coordinator to
grace the stage and share a few words with us.
[Principal’s/Maya maam’s speech]
Pranav - Thank you, ma’am, for your inspiring words and for blessing this evening with your
presence. We are truly grateful for your guidance and encouragement.
Now comes a very special moment of today’s program – the presentation of mementos to our
beloved seniors.
We request our respected Principal/Maya maam to present the mementos to them as a token of
love and remembrance.
[Memento distribution]
Pranav - Our teachers guide us with knowledge, patience, and encouragement every single
day. But tonight, we are about to see another beautiful side of them. A side filled with music and
melody.
Amritha- The ones who guided them, encouraged them, and witnessed their growth through
the years. And who better to share those memories than the teachers who know them best? We
now invite the Ranjitha ma’am and Anupama ma’am to come forward and share a few words
about their wonderful journey.
[Class teacher/Asst. Class teacher speech]
Amritha - Thank you so much for those heartfelt words. We now request Ranjitha ma’am and
and Anupama ma’am to present crowns and their distinctive sashes to the seniors.
[Crown and sash distribution]
Pranav - Our teachers have played a very special role in the lives of our seniors. They have
been mentors, guides, and sometimes even silent supporters through every step of the journey.
We would now like to invite a few of our respected teachers to share their thoughts and
blessings for the seniors.
[Teachers’ speech 1]
Pranav - And now, dear guests, our royal celebration continues.
Time has a quiet way of moving forward.
But along the way, it leaves behind moments we never want to forget. Let us take a look back at
the journey of our seniors.
Amritha - Okay guys, stop crying for a sec..
If that video made you emotional, and you feel like crying more, we suggest taking a break from
this program and visiting the Royal Archive where many more photographs and moments from
the seniors’ journey are waiting.
[The royal archive]
Pranav - An evening is not complete without a little fun and friendly competition. And what
better way to bring everyone together than with a game we all know and enjoy.
Our next segment is inspired by the popular game, Family feud. In this game, the participants
will try to guess the most popular answers given by a group of people.
So let’s see who can read the crowd the best tonight.
[Family feud]
We are delighted to present a special musical performance by two of our wonderful teachers.
Please join us in welcoming Ramesh sir and Vimal sir to the stage.
[Song]
Amritha - The title for tonight’s farewell, Aeternum, comes from Latin, meaning forever or
eternal.
And we chose this name because the memories created within these walls are not meant to
fade with time.
The laughter shared in classrooms, the friendships formed in corridors and the lessons learned
along the way are memories that will remain with us, Aeternum, forever. But of course, this is
only our side of the story. There are also those who have watched their journey much more
closely.
Pranav - As our evening continues, we would once again like to hear from the teachers who
have been an important part of our seniors’ journey.
We now invite the remaining teachers to share a few words and their wishes for the future.
[Teachers’ speech 2]
Pranav - Thank you to our wonderful teachers for those heartfelt words and blessings. Hearing
your memories truly reminds us how special this journey has been for our seniors.
Now that we’ve heard from teachers, I think it’s time to hear from the people who lived these
memories themselves, our seniors. However, we thought we’d add a little twist to it.
Instead of choosing the speakers ourselves, we’re going to let fate decide. Let’s hope the
chosen seniors are ready for this. And if not, well, it’s a little too late now.
[Students’ speech]
Amritha -Thank you for sharing those memories and thoughts with us. It truly means a lot to
hear directly from the seniors themselves.
Some games are just games, but some become memories. And for our seniors, one game that
has always brought laughter and chaos is dumb charades.
Whether it was during free periods, class trips, or random moments of boredom, this game
somehow always found its way into the classroom.
So tonight, by special request from our seniors, we bring back the game that created so many
unforgettable moments.
[Dumb charades]
Pranav - I think it’s safe to say that some things never change. And judging by the laughter in
this hall, this game will remain one of the many memories our seniors will carry with them.
As we near the end of this evening, I would now like to invite Ehan to deliver the Vote of Thanks.
[Vote of thanks]
Amritha - As this beautiful evening slowly comes to an end, we realise that farewells are never
truly easy. To our beloved seniors, thank you for the inspiration, the guidance, and the moments
we will always cherish. You may leave these classrooms, but your stories will forever echo
through these halls.
Pranav - We wish you success, happiness, and endless adventures ahead. May the memories
you made here stay with you forever.
Thank you for being part of our story, and once again, farewell to our wonderful seniors.
And now, to conclude this celebration, we invite you to gather for the cake cutting ceremony. Let
us celebrate the sweet memories of the past and the exciting journeys that await ahead.
